@ladetstorme [ elsa & gothel; frozen one ( crossover. ) ]
A snowflake huddles its way through the air, dipping and bobbing past the tower as it seems to yawn, looping morose & tiredly but dutifully through the sky in service of its Mistress.
“Strange...” Gothel breathes back. she reaches a hand out the open window, curls her wrist and fingers just so, beckoning it forward with a gust of wind. It juts back against her, like a disobedient dog on a leash; but she smiles, and coaxes it forward with the pluck and pull of her fingers, as if all the world’s gifts are just a violin for her to play and make beautiful music with. (It’s not entirely untrue, though Gothel is forced to play more sour notes than most.)
The little bundle of flurries grows to cuddle against her palm, melting there, and Gothel suddenly recieves one of her patented visions. Her eyes go wide and blank and grey--and just like that, she sees exactly what she needs to.
The Woman In The Mountains. Pale & Cold---not that the latter seems to bother her. No, her obvious pain comes from the life she’s left behind, the icy lake she crossed, the pain in her heart causing the world to turn to Winter’s Lasting Kiss.
Oh, Gothel sighs. This is going to prove to be a very long trip away from her Flower....
‘Love You’s are said, and preparations are made. One last song to turn back the clock---and then Gothel sets out to the mountains beyond the Kingdom. To Arendelle, to help a lost spirit, and balance nature, as is her duty. A Mother never rests.
Gothel climbs the mountains---a difficult task, mind you, considering the constant aging of her bones, the fact that this snow simply does not respond to Gothel’s powers like the world beyond Arendelle. She knows if she’s not quick---Elsa’s powers will take over the rest of the world. Arendelle is only the first step. If The Woman In The Mountain is not properly guided... The world could change forevermore. And we can’t have that, can we?
Gothel is proud to admit that when she reaches Elsa, her hair is only barely grey, her smile is still white, her skin is only slightly wrinkled. She sees her appearance in the ice of the castle, and though even this repulses her, she presses on. With that, she knocks on the door.
