“How dare you,” Thea snapped, very nearly snarled as she shoved her finger into the large, broad chest of the pirate standing before her. “How dare you treat me like this!”
Curling her fingers into a fist, Thea drew her arm back before hitting the man standing before, then again and again, but on the forth attempt, the man reached out, gently curling his hand around her wrist and halting her mid strike.
“Y’have’ta understand,” Mick rumbled, voice pitched low and hushed, “This ain’t your world, Princess, it’s mine.” Gently, he pushed her hand back towards her body before carefully prying his fingers from her and stepping back to create more distances between them. “Best we both start remembering that, m’lady.”
