Rooibos, chamomile, darjeeling
rooibos: three facts about my family
my grandparents met at a bus station. he had been stood up for a date and so gave the box of chocolate he’d bought her to the prettiest girl in the bus station :3
I’m related somehow to the first labour chancellor of the exchequer but I’m not sure how. my grandma was involved in his funeral/memorial service in the 1930s. she thinks he was a cousin of her granny’s but it’s really hard to track down.
basically 90% of my family came from one tiny village on the yorkshire/lancashire border. for centuries.
chamomile: comfort movie? I’m not really sure I have a comfort movie these days, although when I was a teenager I always watched Gigi and Cover Girl when I felt depressed and they helped lift my spirits a little. I generally like films where nothing bad happens and there’s no real peril when I’m feeling rubbish so things like Clueless, Legally Blonde etc. usually though I stick with brightly coloured TV shows like Kimmy Schmidt or Parks and Rec, or else watch lots of Miss Fisher.
darjeeling: a hobby? I’ve recently taken up jewellery making and I’ve actually made some pretty nice things. I mean, things that I would look at in the shop and go ‘oooh that’s really pretty, I want it’. That’s a pretty good feeling. I read a lot though and I also spend way too much time reading message boards about internet drama of various kinds (weeaboos, snowflakes, fundies, all kinds of things) because, eh, why not.
