I'm excited to see how Alya!bug is going to handle this akuma. From what we've seen, Robustus gets akumatized by a sentimonster virus that is in Nathalie's hand.

I think it goes well with how Alya was always akumatized into Lady WiFi, which has something to do with electronics (I know her akuma was because she wanted the truth), but I am excited to see how she's going to figure this out and break both the akuma and purify the feather.

Submitted prompt: What could have been

AU in which due to Fu’s timing and/or other factors, it’s Alya who gets the Ladybug earrings, while Marinette gets the Black Cat ring. (we’ll assume Plagg hates transforming horrible users instead of hating transforming people in general here, else Marinette won’t even use the Ring)

There is no love square here since Adrien doesn’t have a Miraculous (not that having no miraculous matters much when he can just leave for HOURS and shirk from his responsibility without Gabriel or Nathalie giving a damn)

The plot follows Alya and Marinette dealing with their superhero duty, and their multiple different interactions with both civilian and hero sides of each others, with more focus on growth and development and facing their flaws.

Alya, notably, has to deal with the very flaws that had been shown since the beginning, namely her being pushy, inconsiderate, dismissive and her stubbornness whenever she thinks she knows best (which are ironically flaws that the canon tries to blame Marinette for or make it seem like Marinette suffers from said flaws as well)

Marinette will have to deal with her inability to say “no” and learn when to just let people deal with their own problems without blaming herself or trying to become their therapist at her expense, and she must also learn how to not care about any “advice” that the toxic adults in her life try to tell her or expect her to follow, so no more “being a better example” like Bustier wants (demands). And to a lesser extent, she has to deal with her jealousy (if she fell in love with Adrien here, but preferably no loving Adrien here if possible).

But it’s not like Alya and Marinette are the only people who can grow and learn from this, even Plagg and Tikki have a room for growth and development.

Plagg will learn to be more observant and a little more strict to deal with Marinette’s more impulsive and harmful actions.

Meanwhile Tikki has to learn how to actually make a point and find actual alternative solutions to problems and better explain her reasoning, since Alya will not simply accept that she is wrong right away or feel guilt over an action she felt needed to do, especially when things are not clear black-and-white.

Of course, how this goes is up to you.

And how people react to said changes is also up to you.

So my family kept calling me to do stuff but now that I’m settled in bed, trailer thoughts under cut:

LADYBUG ALYA IS FINALLY HAPPENING!!! IM SO HAPPY BUT ALSO THE WAY ITS HAPPENING IS MAKING ME LOSE MY ACTUAL MIND 🤠

So my FIRST thought when I saw the trailer was “yo, there is no way Marinette I must be in control of everything Dupain Cheng, who was reluctant to put down her earrings for like 2 seconds in Reflekdoll, would part from them for so long and be SO FAR FROM THEM!!” Especially now that she has access to the horse miraculous 24/7!!! I really hope this episode gives me a valid explanation for this bc I just feel like there is NO WAY she’d do it, it’s really ooc for her imo. Maybe it’s part of a character arc? We’ll see!

I am in no way salting ladybug alya tho, bc... LADYBUG ALYA!!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS SINCE ORIGINS!!! YALLLLLLLL

Would she have done the same thing as marinette did in the volpina episode but not really care at all about adrien calling her out asking why does a civilian think he can call out a superhero doing her duty in putting down someone who is trying to leech off her reputation, think being a full time hero might go to her head for her to think that whether you agree or not

plus how would the dominos fall for the episodes in chameleon since I don’t think alya would have published the interview with her and her jagged stories, sine I think marinette would still have caught his eye as a designer
