The weather is warming up and whether you like it or not, that means the insects are coming out! While I’m definitely not a bug person, I still think ladybugs are pretty cool creatures. I really love these ladybug nails because they’re so cute and perfect for the season. They’ll also be so fun when paired with bee nails which you can find here!
7) Large and Medium Dotting Tool(s)
1) Start with a layer of base coat.
2) Paint your nails with two coats of red polish.
3) Dip your small paintbrush into the black paint.
4) Paint the entire tip of your nail with a thick black stripe.
5) Re-dip into the paint before creating a thin stripe down the middle of the nail.
6) Take a small dotting tool and dip into the black paint as well.
7) Create a series of dots on each side of the stripe.
8) Next, use your large dotter and dip it into the white paint.
9) At the top of the ladybug head (thick black tip), place a white dot just off from the center.
10) Re-dip the dotter into the white paint and place a second white dot next to the first.
11) Re-dip the small dotter into the black paint and add pupils to each of your two white eyes. I chose to make my ladybug cross eyed, but you can place the the pupils however you would like.
12) After the design has dried, seal everything into place with a topcoat.
