I'm super into the feral au as well! Chopper and Luffy having that extra bonding is so good. I'm wondering, would Luffy still have a bit of difficulty speaking or just have bad pronunciation when the rest of the crew comes along? Maybe he just forgets to talk normally sometimes? Everyone else would understand through context clues lol. After a while I think they would get used to it be able to understand him just fine. If so, would Chopper be the only one to know exactly what he's saying the first time he meets him? Sinse Luffy is kinda speaking animal language, so maybe it's just kinda like a different accent to Chopper?

Yeah Luffy still has difficulties speaking sometimes, like he was able to relearn a lot while back with Ace and Sabo, but he still will forget how to say words and so tries to communicate with charades a lot hahaha. His pronunciation is good for the most part, but he can get tongue-tied over more difficult words (which is pretty much canon lol).

and i forgot animal language was just a universal thing LOL though luffy doesnt speak to animals really, he just developed his own weird butchered language from talking to himself for nearly 7 years... unless reading body language counts towards that lol, in which case yeah Chopper probably has the easiest time actually communicating with Luffy.

I forgot one other question I was going to ask about the gem au! (I dont know if its been asked yet, sorry if it has.) In a lot of the refs you have percentages next to them. What to those mean?

oh! thats just random color notes for myself lol, like its the percent i put the layer opacity of the base color at haha
