Sparxflame: i mean. the difference from that first episode where he's panicking over biting the villagers, to the more recent one where he's just like "lmao into the cages u go"... like that's fascinating

Ceranovis: And like... Kirin doesnt interact with anyone in a positive way (excluding Nero, but that was a business transaction more than anything). The first people he actually met tried to kill him. He's constantly searching for people (note: all his comments about finding others like him or getting folks to join him) and coming up short

Ceranovis: he's getting increasingly desperate for people to be near him, and going about it in more violent ways

Sparxflame: he's also very alone in the sense that there's /no one else like him/

Sparxflame: he's the only vampire he knows so far, he's been turned and dumped in an unfamiliar place, with only a very vague book to help

Sparxflame: he's got all these new urges and needs and powers and lbr that's probably terrifying, and he's probably to a large extent really jealous of the merc band??

Sparxflame: found family vs. forced isolation is... quite a stark contrast

Ceranovis: I really wonder how Kirin would interact with Capella and/or Luce

Sparxflame: that would be /really/ interesting

Sparxflame: especially since luce (and to a certain extent capella) are much more established in their identity as vampires and much more like. a part of the wider vampire community and know the etiquette and stuff? like this is their culture and their background and they're sort of grounded in it

Sparxflame: kirin is... i think "feral" works fairly well as a description. he's completely divorced from this new culture he's a part of

Ceranovis: Imagine him dropping to his knees in front of Luce, clutching at her hand and crying. She's more than a little freaked out, but his grip is so strong. And finally, he just quietly whispers "I thought I was alone."

Sparxflame: luce and capella decide to sort of. take him under their wings as a fledgeling, even though he's pretty high-level, because he might have power but he doesn't rlly know how to vampire

Sparxflame: and luce has this weird situation where a) she has a fledgling she's not actually sire to (and oh boy would she and capella be mad at however sired kirin for just abandoning him like. that's the height of unacceptable behaviour), and b) she has a fledgling that's higher level than her

Ceranovis: that being said though... didnt kirin turn capella?

Ceranovis: imagine how livid capella would be to find out what a shit vampire kirin is

Ceranovis: like, capella studied and found out how things worked because SHE was left with nothing when she was turned

Ceranovis: and then there's just... kirin

Ceranovis: the one responsible for turning her, and he's such a big mess

Sparxflame: ohh did he turn her?? huh i must've forgotten about that

Ceranovis: yup, by accident during the first fight

Sparxflame: ohh what a mess

Sparxflame: so yeah, then when she realises he literally had no idea what he was doing, she goes from being furious to like. still being furious but also feeling sort of sorry for him

Ceranovis: Iimagine her rage would just kind of be left afloat. Like, she cant be mad at him because he's so bad at things, but she's mad at the world for putting her in that position

Sparxflame: luce is just like smh i've been around for centuries and i don't have a fledgeling, and you're like 3 weeks old and you've got one. this is like. the vampire equivalent of "16 and pregnant" or sth

Ceranovis: pfff

Sparxflame: poor lonely vampire bab learning to vampire tho

Ceranovis: Luce trying to teach Kirin how to bite without ripping out half the victim's neck and wasting a ton of blood.

Ceranovis: Bea needs a lot of bandaids for a few weeks

Sparxflame: lmao also Capella teaching her own sire how to be a vampire

Sparxflame: ohhh luce would b mad about that

Ceranovis: I have the best mental image of a half drained Bea, covered in disney princess bandaids, flopped out over a table and slowly slurping applejuice through a straw

The first page of comic I started, from one of Lucy and Dex’ streams! I only got one more panel done, but I’m not sure if I’m gonna finish it XD Anyway, I really flipping enjoyed this stream!

How does Luce feel about Capella and Dave, the server's other two resident vampires?

Largely, she’s neutral, although she has her concerns and suspicions about both of them. Dave’s apparently managed to annoy the resident mercenary, and if said mercenary takes exception to all vampires, then she’s at risk. Mostly, she’s not seen enough of him to get a strong opinion, given he keeps himself to himself. Capella, she has larger reservations about, mostly because of her affiliations with the fae. Luce doesn’t dislike fae outright, but she’s aware of how tricky they can be and is pretty hesitant to get too involved with them - or anyone, like Capella, acting as their proxy - because of that.

She’d rather be on friendly terms with both of them given they’re the only other vampires around, so long as that friendliness doesn’t come with debts or prices attached, and doesn’t involve her being dragged into a war. Mostly, she just wants a quiet life running her business with Bea and taking advantage of whatever this new country can offer her - whether that’s resources, clients, technology, or weaponry. It’s when people start making her attempts at a quiet life more difficult that she gets annoyed.
