Inquisitor Cadash (The Permanently Untidy), at the beginning of Inquisition, and at the end, after she’d finally said Fuck It and let her dwarfbeard grow out.

(It took Dorian & Vivienne working together literally for hours to get her even slightly presentable for Halamshiral. There might have been actual magic involved. Cadash complained the entire time. Then cried a bit.)

Female Dwarf Outer Names

  A request I've received a few times, hence this post. An overview of Dwarven Outer Names for Females (+200 of them): Ábria Agda Aí Aís Alda Aldís Alma Alrún Álvdís Ánania Anís Anní Arís Arna...

This site is a good source for feminine dwarf names, if you can't think of one and don't want to use a random generated name, either for a LOTRO character, fanfiction or whatever other ladydwarf needs you may have...

the fact that turbine won't let you choose feminine pronouns/terminology for your dwarf is starting to genuinely annoy the hell out of me

Turi smiles knowingly. “A lady’s beard is her pride, my dear, so of course I do not mind sharing my secrets. First of all, do be sure you pay proper attention to washing and combing. A beard need not be washed every day, but if you have the misfortune of a dry, windy day outdoors, or an accidental spill while eating or drinking, then of course you must wash it much sooner. Use a good, fragrant soap as well—I use a floral scent personally, as a beard that smells lovely will be even more attractive. A little oil may be used for shine, if your locks tend to be dull, and sometimes I will braid my beard before sleeping so that in the morning it has formed beautiful soft waves. There are other charming options, of course, such as weaving in small flowers or attaching jewelled decorations; I think the smaller the better, in that case.”

Her smile widening, Turi gives you a slight wink. “I hope that is helpful, my dear. As well as being more pleasant for yourself, a well-groomed beard draws many suitors, I have found.”

just an observation

looking at those gifs I just reblobbed, it's obvious how much smaller Gimli's hands are than any of the dwarves in The Hobbit films

Clearly this proves my theory about Gimli totally being a ladydwarf

yea I know the filmmakers probably just didn't have the prosthetics they developed for The Hobbit at that point but I TOTALLY DON'T CARE *sticks fingers in ears*
