Well first of all my username on webtoon is almost the same so if you want to see the live Alexandra reaction that'll be it

It's a very wacky story (compliment) and funny but like the plot thickens and idk what to expect. I smell many secrets which have to be uncovered (especially the house owner... mad sus)

So far I love Val ofc and I have several things to say such as

1. What do you mean he doesn't have a Canon long name? Isn't it like Valery, since that's the usual name that gets shortened as Val?? Or maybe Valentine I guess??

2. Victorian sickly boy etc, tucks him into bed gives him warm chicken soup etc etc. But how old is he. He talks like... either archaically or with a British accent or both

3. I can't wait for some actual romance between him and Elisabeth like... you don't know man, I see a character have a crush on another character and I'm rooting so hard every time... shipping etc

4. Val is so sweet etc but I fear that it's too good to be true like... aside from Elisabeth everybody has something to hide and like... what is Val hiding? Aside from his being a vampire ofc. Why is he here, why is he a secret member of the household (except for being a vampire), why is the hunter hunting him so desperately (aside from being a vampire etc). Maybe I'm still in the dracula by bram stoker headspace rn but I fear maybe there'll be a corruption arc or something? I would be so sad tho. Ofc there has to be angst but you know. Don't let Val become evil 2k23? Re: his age. Watch the reveal be something like war crimes in ww1 or whatever. Ok I'm exaggerating. If good, cinnamon roll, if corruption arc, which, quote "I respect your opinion but you make me want to cry", then poor little meow meow. So it's still good old "very huggable but full of bones" Val.

Aside from valposting, I appreciate some transition panels/ scenes/ "camera shots", they look very cool, and getting better looking over time, as well as more frequent 👍👍👍

I bet you expected this to be a mlp fim post, which yeah, it will be, eventually, but

When I was a kid (early 2000s) we would get presents from Samaritan's purse (this was barely like 10-15 years after the fall of communism, so Romania was on their poor country list + dad was basically the pastor of my childhood church + he knew a bunch of American missionaries). That was our source of foreign toys (from England or Germany usually). But imagine that said toys, although in good condition, were already "out of fashion" for Western kids. So I ended up with some generation 1 (and presumably 2) ponies. My favourite one was a pink one with yellow hair, which I kept the longest out of all. I forgot what her cutie mark was like. I also had one which was turquoise with pink or purple ish hair + a few others I didn't remember in particular. I loved brushing their hair like I would my Barbie dolls etc, and the horses were like their beloved pets or whatever? (Barbie as a horse girl headcanon).

But I also watched old MLP on TV. When I was a small child, it was not at all uncommon for cartoons as old as the 80s to air on that channel (although as I got older I noticed they really stopped airing old stuff and tried to be in trend). So I was familiar with stuff like Spartakus etc. And also the first generations of MLP. I was so obsessed with it, and I remember very vividly the 10-episode grand finale, which I think aired in a marathon and I was so attentive to it. I remember this mlp also had flying ponies with insect wings, not only pegasi, so if any of you is a mlp expert, you can confirm which gen this is. From what I've seen online, I tend to believe it was actually gen 1.

When I was like 10 ish they aired mlp fim and at first I was like nooo where's my original mlp 😭😭. And believe me I missed the fairy winged ponies the most, I was anticipating their return in the lore!!! I did fanart of them iirc. Anyway mlp fim rolled out and I also liked it a lot. Being the exact target audience and all.

I liked Twilight, Fluttershy and Rarity, and the others as well. I remember thinking at first that rainbow dash was a boy. Girl the Luna episode... why did she lose her flowy hairrrr... but at least she turned good etc. I also loved the episode with the wedding of Twilight's brother etc. At some point I stopped actively watching it because you know how teens are "I'm not watching kids stuff eww"

But at that point I had Internet access TM for a while. And I found many things. The good the bad the ugly etc. Realised that rainbow dash was a girl actually and was like very shocked to see people shipping her with other ponies of the mane six (the final episode making apple dash canon: I am looking away, I do not see it). There were other weird ships like twilight and celestia... like why... Let me tell you about the plethora of Sparity content back in the day pH girl. Ofc as a kid i shipped it and now I know it's yikes etc. But as a kid I was. Character has a crush -> they must get together pleaseeeee I'm totally not projecting how my every crush rejected me nooooo. Anyway there were nice sparity videos out there (with an aged up spike etc), one of them made me cry, another introduced me to the world of Owl City. Either way, a win.

Then the Derpy × Dr Whooves brainrot yessssssssssss 10/10 would do it again. You know what I'd say I still am into this ship like. If I were to find a nice full lenght fanfic. Girlies this is the moment you know I was watching tumblr from afar before ever making an acc. I was following the developments of a ask Dr whooves blog through YouTube adaptations. It was quite confusing but hey. The AMVs aaaaaaaaaaaaa. The one which had that one eurovision song like... waiting for the bitter pill DUN DUN give me something I could feel DA DA~ cause love kills over and over - with a picture of Derpy flying over water and holding Dr Whooves so as his feet touched the water etc... cutest thing ever, changed my brain chemistry etc. Another AMV introduced me to There she is - highly recommended.

I myself made human AU fanart of them. And man. I sat awake one night plotting a fanfiction with these two in which... like the framing device was the human world ish and this postwoman Melissa (or Melinda or something - it was meant to be turned into Muffins in the pony ver) meets this guy Tim(othy) Turner, and ha wouldn't you know, his secret library/ office is actually a time machine etc. And it was cute man like I had all these ideas for the story like. The machine had the power to travel through time, yes, but also to pause time etc. And like she would go visit him in a coffee break and they'd literally stop time to make those 10 mins last several hours etc. It was so cute fr. And they fall in love, get married etc. She gets pregnant etc. Then suddenly one day the time police or whatever comes after him and arrests him. She tries to stop them but gets thrown into some portal. And I think he gets thrown in another portal too etc. And she finds herself in ponyville (in her pony form etc). Her name being Muffins, colloquially known as Derpy doo. She lives a modest life with her daughter, Ditzy doo, also working as a mailwoman etc. Several years pass by and (I forgot how this happened etc) they finally manage to reopen the portals again. And the other ponies learn of her real identity etc. I think he also briefly enters the pony world but now the both of them get caught by the police. They get teleported into this Sci-fi looking room with pipes and glowing wires etc - presumably this was near their own time machine or inside it?? Then follows a scene in which they catch him with the intent to kill him and they either just shoot him in the head and she reverses time etc. Or she stops time before they manage to hit him, so in stop motion she is able to redirect the bullet. They do escape eventually, and reach the human world again. I don't remember whether they had to let go of the machine or if they could keep it. But they lived happily ever after with their daughter etc.

But the real tragic ending is that I never put pen to paper so all that you just read is like an almost 7 year old memory I've kept in my brain.

There was a lot of mlp fan content I read at the time, mostly fan comics, like the magical girl AU, Rogue Diamond (basically that Black Lagoon anime AU). Then there was the Bride of Discord saga.

I watched the adaptation first, then discovered in on FFN, read it all, plus the sequels Daughter of Discord and Son-in-law of Discord. And then they announced an adaptation of Daughter of Discord, yep this one I actually watched as it went. Man. The absolute tension I felt at the finale sneak peek, waiting so impatiently for the grand finale. Then that almost hour long video dropped. Just party in the house fr.

There are many other fanworks + amvs etc that I've watched over the years. Most notably, Lullaby for a Princess. Best video ever tbh.

Ofc all mlp content I consume nowadays is like... nostalgia fanart... which is its own genre tbh

And before you ask, yes, I did go though that ponysona phase, I made one for myself, as well as my ocs, other characters etc. Fun times
