Ooooh how about ⌧ and Ω? Your enthusiasm for JJBA made me check it out too, I'm in the middle of Part 2 now and really enjoying it! Thank you so much for yelling about this show a lot, the sheer positivity is amazing to witness :D
Omg nice I’m really happy to hear that!!! ;v;AND NO PROBLEM!! I shall proceed to yell about it a lot lmao(also just I replied Ω in the ask before this one! <3)
Hmm, it’s a bit hard for me to separate the outfit from the overall character design, especially when the unified design is as strong as on many of Araki’s characters (clothes combined with hairstyle, make-up, etc)
I made this list of my favourite Araki designs a while ago, I’ll just go through those that have particularly outstanding outfit designs that can be separated from the whole character and still look amazing.
Out of these, if I JUST focus on the outfit, I think Giorno is probably my favourite
I am a big fan of an outfit that’s mostly plain, but has a few striking details that elevate it to another level. with Giorno, it’s the ornaments, and the heart-shaped chest window. His outfit also looks amazing both in pink and black (though i prefer pink because I will almost always prefer pink if given a choice lmao)
SPEAKING OF PINK, Anasui is one of the most obscene designs Araki has ever done (that i’ve seen at least) and I absolutely LOVE him for it. The guy wears a mesh shirt, a fucking SKIRT and thigh-high boots, what an utter madman i love him. i will actually riot if anasui isn’t pink in the anime. i do NOT like blue anasui.
Bruno’s outfit I like for similar reasons as Giorno’s, the simplicity of it, and then BAM here’s some intricate lace lingerie. Gorgeous tbh.
Mista’s outfit I love because it’s another ridiculously bold move on Araki’s part and yet he made it work. It can often be hard to mix red and blue, and organic and geometric patterns because they can quickly become very jarring, but Mista really pulls it off. Never in my life would I ever consider putting these patterns and colours together in this way.
And I just want to tag this on in the end, I really love how DIO seems to wear somewhat middle eastern-inspired fashion when in Egypt. That implies that he’s enamoured by this new foreign fashion and that’s really cute tbh. I feel like when people design outfits for DIO they tend to fixate too much on the.. over-exposure of the body, but not enough on the actual STYLE that DIO seems to prefer.
