Since you live in a major city with a zoo, did you find it relatively easy to find a vet for Kaiju? How did you search for one an unusual exotic?
Yeah, it was super easy- I actually had a choice, which is unusual. But when I was picking her vet, I used the ARAV vet finder, a tool put out by the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians.

(Genuine question) What's wrong with rawhide for puppers?
Rawhide breaks into sharp pieces that can get stuck in a doggo’s digestive tract and really hurt them!
Would Kaiju let you wipe off the excess pangea (or any food mess, really) or would she reflexivly try to grab anything you put near her mouth? Or back up to investigate first?
Yeah, I shoulda taken a picture of me wiping her mouth, because it was really cute. After I stopped filming, I got a wet paper towel and just wiped it off. She’s actually incredibly good about having me touch her around her mouth- it’s one of the things I’ve trained her to do. One of her trained behaviors is opening her mouth and not biting down- when I put two fingers on either side of her nose, she’ll open up. This is so the vet can look at her teeth and tongue and roof of her mouth without any fuss!
The 'Update: She lives here now' photo ... I ... HOW?! Is she in a jackknife position?? Her head is close to her own hips, is the photo angle just deceptive or is she a bendy baby?

What do Kaiju's scales feel like? They look like little tiny beads strung together so I picture the same texture (I've only ever held snakes, no lizzers)
Spot on! If you’ve ever felt anything made of seed beads, that’s what her back feels like. Her belly is much smoother, and the skin in her armpits and legpits, for lack of a better word, is extremely soft.
