It's hard to believe it, but we're nearly at the end of TV's Top Couple 2016. We know, we know. ...
This is a super tough round, guys!!! We’re barely keeping the head above water and the second we let up, we start slipping! We need an advantage big enough to ensure our victory!! Go out and vote vote vote!!
So far on this week's The 100...
Octavia beat Bellamy's face, as predicted. Raven is a strong bb and I hope she keeps fighting the demon in her head. And Monty and his mom had a knuckle brush goodbye hug.
Just taking a moment to tick off the badass female characters who WEREN’T featured on last night’s ep of Jason Rottenburger’s show.
1. LEXA *sobs loudly*
2. Clarke *sobs for her crushed heart*
3. Abby; seriously she has been Kane’s partner in treason, where the fuck in Arkadia was she?!
4. Octavia
5. Indra
6. Monroe, RIP
So the only female characters we could remember being featured in 3x08 were Raven (being her amazing self), Harper (attempting to kicking ass, even though her ideas were shot down by Kane), Alie, and Monty’s terrible homicidal mother. Literally every other character with a speaking part was a dude. So let’s tally them just to see the numbers:
1. Bellamy
2. Pike
3. Kane
4. Miller
5. Lincoln
6. Monty
7. Jasper
8. Miller’s BF
9. Jaha
10. Sinclair
11, 12. Grounders Bellamy fucking shot because he’s a psychopath
Ugh. By my count, the dudes outweigh the women 3:1. And with the exception of Raven employing critical thinking re: Alie 1.0, the quality of the representation of women just wasn’t there.
Against my better judgment, I’m gonna keep watching because I am naive and hopeful that there is a silver lining. But the above numbers combined with THE COMPLETE LACK OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF LEXA’S DEATH AND CLARKE’S PAIN in 3x08 and the announcement of the show’s renewal, most likely a strategic stringing along of the Clexa fandom in order to boost ratings and clinch renewal prior to senselessly killing Lexa, are not helping the case for watching. As my wife, @rockin-r, knows, I’m not afraid to jump ship (ahem, OUAT, PLL I’m looking at you) when a show doesn’t do its queer characters justice or at the very least, RESPECT THEM AND THE PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES THOSE CHARACTERS MOST CLOSELY REPRESENT, so you are skating on thin ice, the 100. Please tell me you all have your shit together for the rest of this season. I’m not going to forget, but I know there’s still potential. Just don’t fuck it up anymore than you already have.
The agreed trend tonight is: LGBT FANS DESERVE BETTER
Lets get to it, peeps!!
while some will be watching something, I will be playing Call of Duty - Advance Warfare on Xbox One so if you have the game. Lets play ill be on at 8 pm SHARP.
send me ur gamertag
I haven’t cried this much about a television character since Xena. Lexa was such a beautiful crafted character there is literally no-one else like her on tv and having her ripped away from us in the way that she did just completely threw me through a ringer I legit cried myself to sleep Thursday, got to work Friday I felt like a family member died it hit me more than I could ever have imagined. I am so tired of been used to furthur TV series ratings, been lead to believe this time they saw the bigger picture and they were going to get it right. It amazes me how dumb show runners, producers etc are it’s been proven having LGBT on your side only increases a show in every aspect so for the love of my sanity why can’t they represent us in a equal manner on television we don’t ask for much we are tired of being your back up plan, that oh I’m not homophobic here is a background character to keep you interested Fuck no!! We are equal to any M/F couple we love just as hard, we are worthy and Lexa she was unique, special she gave hope to young girls struggling trying to figure out who they are she gave strength, she proved you can be a badass and rise above whatever situation you might face, she was epic and you dumb fucks took that away from us with your queer bating and sloppy writing. I mourned Xena for months when I was a child I never understood how they could do that to my warrior I idolized her and to this day it still hurts like hell to this younger generation Lexa was there Xena.
