I continue to be flabbergasted by the Kertia clan. Their reputation is built by how stealthy and assassin like they are but I've rarely seen them fight that way and it's BUGGING ME.

Preeetty much. 8l Maybe it’s all from Ragar’s time and earlier. Though Rajak should have apparently been doing some actual assassinations, but OH WELL.

...I’m just picturing Frankenstein making a I’M FUCKING LOST button for them to press when they have zero clue where they are. Muzaka loses his within a day (hey, he gets to explore the city/country anyway, so it’s no big loss to him), and Rai’s SURE he can get back. Really. M-21 is similarly determined to find his way back.

....M-21 is actually okay because he can just track scents. Unless he’s tracking his own scent and he just went circles around the entire city. >_>;

Very well put. I’ve gotten so bored with Noblesse recently because nothing substantial is happening. What are the nobles back at Lukedonia up to since their near defeat? We’ve had a lot of focus on M-24 but what about Tao and Takeo? They brought the kids back at some point but that didn’t go anywhere. Nothing is, lol.

*sigh* I was hoping that wouldn’t be the case. :c For the most part, Son and Lee don’t seem to push as far as they could with plot, and then pull back at the last second so stuff isn’t permanently changed.

It sorta sounds like there have been a couple of asspulls to keep interest that don’t stick for something larger. :/

Your post on Rajak was a great read. We had discussed it a little bit before but just to reiterate his NOT trying to get away was my biggest problem with his fight/death. Trying to escape would've been the most efficient choice--not fighting (especially when you consider he was outnumbered and against multiple former clan leaders). He essentially had the element of surprise too with his ability to completely hide his presence (despite being so young) and he chose not to use it. Frustrating.

Like, because Rajak didn’t run, the fight ended up feeling fairly samey to me? They just kept powering up and matching each other. Again. At least three times. They were supposed to have pulled everything out right at the start? Yeah, that last yanking out of power in the final push but come on. Three times.

It would have been SO GOOD (and hilarious) if Rajak had ran the first time he disappeared. The antagonists were like ‘:O He was able to achieve something even his father wasn’t able to!’ and then proceeded to wait around, trying to find him, because if Rajak powers up that perfectly, that means he HAS to do an attack out of the blue so they have to be on their toes, right?

Too bad Rajak did what they expected, but uuugh, the looks on their faces would have been amazing to see once they realised they’d been duped and left in the dust. (It seems like Frankenstein’s prep-talk backfired on him, because Rajak might not have stayed his ground if Frankenstein hadn’t told him he could break through the limitation or whatever?)

We’ve met the 2nd Elder! It’s Maduke/the werewolf Lord. The only one that hasn’t been revealed yet is the 1st.

But yeah, the 3rd Elder is easily the most competent of all the Elders so far. Unfortunately, that’s not hard to be... :l

I have absolutely ZERO knowledge of the archdemon, aside from the whole ‘yeah, we drank their blood so the archdemon knows about US too’ and. Well. Damn. That’s a contract huh?

I’d been thinking that Rai could be Sten in the whole honourable person thing and since he had done something wrong and used his poewrs against human, that makes it right that he would be locked up for what, thirty days and still be alive. Also, his broadsword and Ragnarok, pfft.

Ahaah, yeah, I was flip flopping on Tao as Zevran because okay, Zevran is a TOTAL FLIRT but on the other hand he’s part of a group of murderers who didn’t give him a chance to refuse to join, not to mention when he’s not killing people he’s just a super cheerful guy who’s friendly.

...My brain wants Muzaka to be Dog because yeah and that theory about Dog being a third Grey Warden connected to the darkspawn and pffft.

I’ve only played commoner dwarf so I’m leaning towards that as Frankenstein’s backstory, partially because the 6 foot guy now being a dwarf, and also that the dwarves are also the race that are more threatened by the darkspawn since they’re where they would rise up to the surface. And also the fact that as soon as the dwarf goes up to the surface, they’re no longer recognised as being a dwarf or part of their family, which is kinda what happened to Frankenstein and Dark Spear? Or maybe being connected with the darkspawn is like being connected with Dark Spear?

None of the fear and distaste that Frankenstein gets in canon though, because no-one knows about that connection aside from the Grey Wardens.

I’m still unsure about who everyone else would be.

YO, I was thinking this too! I'm upset even tried to go after the old guy. He could've tried to escape since no one was expecting him to still have any energy. Anything that would help the original plan of providing a warning to Lukedonia!

Auuuugh, right? If you’re going to declare that you’re not going to allow any of the antagonists to enter Lukedonia, how about you actually try to KILL THEM? Rather than giving them a surface wound.

I wouldn’t have been AS annoyed if he’d done that either of those. He knew from the start he wouldn’t be able to fight them all off and warning Lukedonia was his priority. Then he forgot about it.

A last ditch effort to warn the others would have redeemed some of his previous actions with me rather than trying to fight them, now that they’re no longer just going to fight one on one. He would/should have been caught running, but at least he might have actually been able to give the other Lukedonians a heads up of what was happening to prepare. But no, the entire fight is pretty much wasted with no progression since the Clan Leaders are still oblivious.

...And now I can’t stop imagining Rajak with Gandalf’s voice, and that Tao gathered everyone around for movie night to watch the series. And he goes for themes, so it was fantasy night (supernatural night with vampires and werewolves movies usually got a LOT of questions and huffiness so if he wants them to have a good time, he usually avoids them).

This wouldn’t be the first time in Noblesse someone said ‘let’s fight one-on-one’ for their own reasons or amusement and then when it started going badly for them another bad guy shot the good guy in the back.

 Mm, but with most of those, the antagonists were already at their destination and they'd already had some fun wrecking hell everywhere to call out the household. Lagus and the others' destination is Lukedonia - they're not there yet, so playing around and wasting time is a little eh and weakens their determination to me. The conflict was set up, but they’re getting sidetracked and slowing it down. Though, hm. After thinking about it a little bit, I’m okay with Grui and Gaitan going off and doing their own thing because that had been set up; we'd seen they were flippant with orders and did what they wanted. With Lagus and the other traitors, I sort of expect them to be more focused if they were willing to do everything they did before running from Lukedonia. (Except we don’t know when Gradeus and the blonde noble actually joined with the traitors since we haven’t seen them in the flashbacks yet.) ...Can the new antagonist that steps in at the end be Ignes? Though I guess it’ll probably be Gradeus who does it.

I’m pretty sure it’s much more difficult to side with the werewolves. You have to have high persuasion to convince the Lady to kill the Dalish. Not to mention you get disapproval with everyone except Morrigan, I think.

...Damn. I haven’t been leveling my persuasion at ALL. XD; So I guess not.

the dalish are helpful in the last battle; but idk if you get both of them if you do the perfect ending option. side with the werewolves and u massacre all the dalish. not my kind of option but to each his own

Ugh this. Not sure whether to hope for your sake it doesn’t end in needing to write ten more chapters, or hope it does so I can read those chapters.

*sob* I hope not, because that’ll ruin the pacing. XD;; And yeeeah, there isn’t going to be a sequel since so many of the dynamics have been changed and I definitely can’t try to mirror the second season.

(But my brain has still be been trying to muse it over and make something that makes sense.)

I agree with this entire post. I've been confused as to why they're just letting Rajak fight. They're trying to ambush Lukedonia. One slip up and he'll be running back to warn the others. The likelihood that the Elders can catch him is slim so???

Seriously. D: Like, Lunark and the 3rd Elder were fine trying to jump Karias together because they agreed that taking ANY advantage when they can is a good investment.

Is it because Kuharu has something to prove that they’re fighting one-on-one? Why aren’t they all just attacking Rajak at once? They could do the test of power afterwards when they’ve taken Lukedonia. Hell, they could all jump Rajak, knock him out and then drag him along with them so they could fight it out AFTERWARDS or something.

THIS JUST DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE.

Yeah, the longer they let him live, the more chance they’re giving him of escaping or doing something to warn Lukedonia.

Is this supposed to be a fatal flaw type thing and their pride isn’t letting them attack at once and this is going to be their downfall or something? :/
