There would be no mercy as he played with Isaac as a cat would a mouse before it would devour it. He had no one to save him, this pathetic wolf that slithered on the ground as if he were a reptile. "You're a wolf," Ennis growled at the bloodied and broken creature, "die with dignity." He cared little for the mindset of the weakness in front of him as it pressed its back against a wall and coward with fear. It was Derek's mistake that the boy had been bitten, and now the weakness was faced with its light being snuffed out at such a young age. Ennis felt twisted at the side of the show of fear, and its smell as it rolled from Isaac's flesh. Dignity would not come from this thing before him. It was merely a juvenile that did not know its place. Sometimes, that happened in their world. Bittens were a cancer, and sometimes they blackened the wolven kin like this one had done, and sometimes the cancer would become something more worthy of a wolf. Duke had opened his eyes to that vision. Ennis had once been a wolf who would give the bite to those that needed it. He had been an Alpha who embraced all as family, and loved every beta he sired as if they were his own child. The protective Alpha, the loving father, and the dutiful elder. But, that Ennis had been long since replaced. "Pathetic," Ennis drawled as he lowered his body to be face-to-face with the boy and stare into his eyes. "Trust me kid, this is a kindness," Ennis continued. The boy didn't see it coming, and Ennis made it painless. His hands wrapped around the boys chin and forehead and sharply twisted. The sound of bone snapping as his spine and neck was severed echoed in Ennis' ears, and the large wolf felt nothing but pity for Isaac Lahey. Pity that he was not fit to be wolf.
