"walkin' in time" i'm curious
tiME TRAVELLING AU OMG. so guanlin’s been able to travel through time all his life. he hung out in the french court during marie antoinette’s time bc it was lit asf before travelling to another time period bc ya know, history happened. but after a while, it gets kinda lonely. travelling through time with no one else, your friends can’t get to accompany you on your journeys, and although you make friends in different time periods, it’s not the same. that’s where the reader comes in. they can time travel too. but they chose to live in their current era bc tbh, time travelling scares them. what if they do something that royally screws over humanity in the future? anyways, guanlin runs into them completely by accident at a museum. he’s trying to look for this painting his buddy, leo, made, and they’re trying to enjoy the paintings. and they stumble on leo’s painting just as guanlin does and they hear him mutter how his friend made it big. “you’re friends with leonardo da vinci?” guanlin realizes his mistakes and tries laughing it off before he realizes that “hey, this person wasn’t being rude or sarcastic, probably a nut job, but still” the reader realized that this dude is a time traveler too. the two of them actually travel through time together, and as they’re living through history, they find themselves thinking, “i wouldn’t mind spending all of time with you”
