L’obra presentada té dos punts de partida. Per una banda, la predilecció fetitxista de l’artista amb el mite del cap tallat de Sant Joan Baptista i Salomé. De l’altra, la seva experiència personal a Brussel·les, on acudia a la plaça Jeu de Balle just després que s’hi celebrés el marché aux puces i cercava entre les llambordes per si tenia la sort de trobar el cap d’alguna figureta trencada. I heus aquí el que Laia Arqueros ha realitzat per a ERNO: una sèrie de caps de ceràmica modelats individualment i servits en una safata. Es tracta de cinquanta peces úniques, vint-i-cinc Sant Joans Baptista i vint-i-cinc Salomés.

The work presented parts from 2 different points. On the one hand, the artist’s fetishist predilection towards the myth of the decapitation of St John the Baptist and Salome, and on the other, her own personal experience in Brussels, where she used to drift in Place Jeu de Balle after the closing of the flea market and look between the cobblestones searching for the heads of shattered figurines. Her response for ERNO: a series of ceramic heads, modelled one by one and served on a plate. They are fifty unique pieces, twenty-five Saint Johns and twenty-five Salomes.
