So @entanglement-community had a Plant Generator Game and I finally got in on it to help redesign some old characters <3 So here are some Laies! <3 Top Left: Kareem This plant has round, pointed leaves. It reproduces via pinecones. Kareem is a super sweet fellow who tends to speak quietly but laugh loud. He is friendly with most people, curious about other species, and likes to learn body mechanics. He wears cool colors and tries not to stick out too badly, but he is a happy fellow all around. His leaves are super soft like velvet, and his pinecones fall out and grow constantly, though the one above his left ear is always there and regrows in the same spot. He has pinecone scaling scattered around his body.

Top Right: Jasha  This plant has huge feathery leaves.  It reproduces via many indigo five-petaled flowers. A shy young man who tends to grow herbs and spices, this blossom is very quiet and gentle, if not a bit timid with new folk. He prefers the company of other Laies and relaxing in sunlight, and doesn’t like to travel. His shirts always bare his back to give his flowers all along his spine space and light; his petals are very sensitive. He has multiple blossoms, the two biggest on his shoulder blades but similar ones all along his spine; they grow and blossom with the seasons. He is quite tall. *Thanks to @tenoranathema for the back-garden idea with his blossoms <3 Bottom Left: Amaranth This shrub has tiny pointed leaves. It reproduces via clusters of six-petaled violet blossoms. This young, very short blossom is quite the character - they are friendly, exuberant, energetic and positive. They tend to act as a messenger and carry letters and messages back and forth. They wear big overall-shorts or swishy clothing a lot, and it is very rare to find them with shoes on. They are close to their brother, Crim. Bottom Right: Crim This tall-growing plant has long thin leaves.  It reproduces via a single crimson six-petaled flower. This composed, serious fellow is actually the younger brother of Amaranth, and he tends to stay indoors a lot unless it’s very warm and sunny. He writes stories and legends down and keeps things organized for his community. This fellow may seem to have no sense of humor sometimes, but they are positive and full of hope, and will try to spread that good viewpoint to others.

@entanglement-community has a character design challenge as said in this post and these two are the result!

Granted, I listed some featues I liked and forgot where they originally came from >.>

The one on the left has frilly leaves and bright pink 6-petaled flowers, and the one on the right has lacy leaves and amber bell-shaped flowers.

@entanglement-community Did the Laies design challenge mentioned in this post (and only just now noticed that the pupil I added as a force of habit in the coloring process was legitimately not supposed to be there >_> oh well lol)

In the interest of not spending 1000 years on this I didn’t ink it and the colors are basically only shading, and not super high-contrast shading at that.
