hii! i have a question about your post about kinship care and buck taking care of theo. you say that this is the case assuming theo has no other relatives, but if cps or whoever is still looking for other relatives, would this still apply? thanks! i love seeing people post accurate information about this process and i can’t wait to read your fic!!

Thanks for the ask!! So, yeah Buck could apply for kinship at any point and then if CPS ends up finding a relative, that relative could then apply for guardianship. At that point, Buck could relinquish custody or he could fight it if he feels he's the better option to keep Theo.
