lain started out as a starving refugee, but he eventually came into wealth and had an actual diet. 

at first he’s really scrawny but not thin, but then the searing happened and he gradually lost all his weight over the next two years during ruriks patrols. and then, eventually, through his hard work he made it through the shiverpeaks and into kryta where he could eat as much as he wanted and as well as he could. and given that he’s a man of a lot of activity and action, he eventually bulked up some muscle by the time he’s about 32ish. so when i draw him bulked up with muscles and scars, thats him in his 30s to 40s give or take

i thought iw as taking screenshots of everyone’s dialogue last night, but when i logged back onto my computer i realized that i must have been hitting the wrong key to take screenshots with and all i had was this one, which may have been a misclick :( im actually really sad but at least i have my memories.......

since i wanted people to have 0 context for lains antics (which i was right for btw he's amazing when you have no idea wtf goin on) i thought I'd share just what lains deal was and why exactly he was even there

lain and archibald are ians ancestors and founders of their noble line. theyre the heroes of ascalon and really powerful magic users. they preserve fractalized versions of themselves in a pocket dimension that was bound and woven into a painted portrait of them that sits in the cellar of the main marcin estate. its enchanted to reactivate when the world is about to end, so they came back from the dead during the apocalypse soo won manifested.

they're fully aware of their greatest grandson in several realities, and they just love him to bits. lain proverbally adopts him as his son and treats him as his favorite grandbaby. lain simply was looking for a babysitter that met with his delightfully undead critter like standards! :) his standards are very Addams/Munsters like in that they're quirky.

keep the children safe at any cost. even if it means sacrificing your favorite native frog species by treading on their breeding grounds when ascalon is getting cooked to a sizzle. a crisp :(

ok. it starts out with breakfast in bed, served with some [CENSORED] and then after that going downstairs and having a lunch. then there's hardcore flirting and he goes BACK upstairs for [REDACTED] and then having like an extra 30 minutes dedicated to talking in bed and watching holovids. and then [VIOLATES COMMUNITY GUIDELINES]

today, we logged in to do some gw1 wintersday. and in case you didnt know, the quests and the dialogue you get in gw1 are far superior to anything in gw2 ever

i was so fucking excited to go to the swamp to get gunk and to talk to this fucking gunkfarmer. we were in explorable zones for a solid like 50 minutes just in hot pursuit of this gunkfarmer. i was so fucking excited to talk to this gunkman. and he was so good. god i fucking loved him so much

you have no goddamn idea how excited i was to talk to urme.
