I happened to see your post about your mom playing BG3 and romancing Halsin and clicked on the tag for your mom versus video games. That sounds like so much fun and a great way to spend time together. I hope her surgery goes well and you two have lots of fun together. Please keep us updated on the games. 👍

It has been a lot of fun! I realized that we've been playing BG3 for more than 8 months at this point. Which makes sense. We play about an hour a week and I think we're at 36 hours into the campaign

I'm going to skip a LOT of act 3, focusing only on the companion quests and main question, so hopefully we can finish by the end of September

Then the plan after that is to play DA2! She already knows she wants to play a rogue Hawke. I'll be very curious to see how that goes (I'll be taking bets on who she romances lol)

But what's great is that she enjoys the story and it really makes her think in different ways. Which, when you're almost 80, is a very good thing!

When Kira tells the Council about being a Child of the Emperor, he wants to keep her on Tython, seeing her as a danger to others. He objects to Tol Braga’s plan to attempt to redeem the Emperor (I’m with him there, actually). On Corellia, when you contact the ‘First Son’, he reveals that they know the truth now when, personally, I think it’d have been smarter to keep that fact secret. That’s all I can remember right now. 

Also, when the JK returns from the Emperor’s fortress with Scourge, Kaedan threatens Scourge with his lightsaber, right there in the Council chambers. And he doesn’t trust the Voss way of teaching.

and i do remember Harin-So (my JC) got annoyed at him for revealing they knew who the first son was. enough i made a post about it :P (link) which is why he strikes me as the token hot headed jedi but that could be me letting 1 memorable instance cloud my judgement

I’m still not clear when this is set. I know the movies and swtor. Is this in between those?

It’s set in about 800 BBY. The events of SWTOR occur in the Old Republic era, roughly 3600 BBY and act therefore as a historical backdrop for this story. Meanwhile, the movies haven’t happened yet.
