[Arranges picnics and drinking parties at lakesides.]
YOU NAME IT, THEY HAVE IT LAKELAND VILLAGE COTTAGE
The best part about this Ulverston accommodation is that it offers stunning 360° views of mountains, woodlands, rivers and lakesides. One thing which makes it most preferable is that it is situated near popular tourist destinations of Bowness and Windermere, and thriving Hawkshead.
lake adventures! 🌊
Lakes
A teenage escape;
That’s what lakes are to me.
A place I hid around,
Avoiding a home I didn’t fit,
Not that I really tried it.
I needed that angst,
My own misunderstanding,
But the lakes helped me.
Possibly not to settle in,
Water can only do so much,
But to get distance
And a sense of natures touch.
It was lakes and ducks,
Birds in the trees,
Making life feel lighter.
All just beyond the garden.
Lakeside Moments
A family picnic
So distant now,
With us playing frizbee or ball,
Juice cartons in cool bags,
And a million food types,
With Grandma sat chatting,
And Aunts and Uncles gossiping,
That was a sun kissed afternoon,
Moments passing far too soon.
Lonely afternoons,
So vital then,
Escaping out of the back door,
To the trees, geese and swans,
The river and lakes, and hidden pathways.
Playing with pebbles on the shore,
Wising away for something more;
Those were shining days,
The start of so many ways.
Walking past,
A daily need,
Whether sun, mist, snow or wind,
Step by step, there and back,
Nature’s pause before school demands.
The one swan I called a friend,
I thought that summer might never end,
Through heartache and pain
The path kept me sane.
