Is there going to be a script template posted or can we make our own personal ones??
hello hi!!!
omg tyyyyyyy!!!!! again, it amazes me just how much positive attention this dr is getting like every time I get an ask like this I immediately text lian like "OMGGGGGGGG LIANNNNNN LOOK!!!!!!!"
but yes!!!! we are actually in the process of making a filled script template (a filled template basically means it has all the worldbuilding already built in, so there'll actually be much more in there than what we post). and its looking so cute so far!!!!! I mean lian is doing absolutely amazing with the formatting!!!!
anyways, here's a little sneak peak at some of the script.
also if you're wondering just how in depth we're gonna go, this is how many pages we have for JUST FORAGABLE RESOURCES!!!!!! so yeahhhhhhh we accidentally went a little crazy lol
also, the script should be done and published by august!!!!
hihiiiiiii! I thought I'd post some of the stuff I've worked on for the fairy dr just bc i hooooonestly havent had the time to post all too much bc of scripting + life stuff
today, we'll be introducing lunaeria, the forest of fairies!
this is an original collab script between ari and I!
this script was originally meant to be a spring seasonal dr, but we decided to extend its deadline to the end of summer for quality purposesssssss-- so now it's a spring/summer script
Note that pretty much every section here is SUMMARIZED! We'll get to each topic in detail in other posts or asks.

welcome to lunaeria
To get logistics out the way--
Again, as I've stated earlier, this is an original collab script between ari (@reverieshifts) and I! I'm doing all/most of the quiz(zes), all cities, this dr's overall lore, a lot of society, fairy magic, courting, culture, fashion, people, resources (new fruits, foods, and how they're used), cooking, and design+ux for the script.
back to the ~actual~ topic--
Lunaeria is the land of Nordic fae. It encompasses a hidden civilization of fairies who live peaceful yet curiously mischievous lives, and it’s considered to be the first non-nomadic fairy civilization in the world. Lunaeria’s script, due to time constraints, will focus solely on Lunaeria, not other fairy colonies!
Lunaeria focused on a cozy, sweet, and whimsically ethereal lifestyle, so if that’s something you’re interested in, I’d really recommend shifting here!
moodboard of lunaeria
the aesthetic of the script was done by me, here’s a brief moodboard of lunaeria~
lunaeria’s dwellers
There are many kinds of sentient magical species in Lunaeria— these include:
fairies (ofc)
merfolk
mushlings
dryads
I’ll summarize these things purely because I really want Ari to post her work, so think of this section as a bit of a teaser!
fairy physiology
All fairies have wings, though some may have some special traits, like:
anntenae
feelers
pointed ears
tiny fangs
duo-chrome or metallic elytra nails
iridescent skin
firefly/night glowing freckles
colorful yet natural pollen blush
silky gossamer hair
reflective eyes
petal color mimicking hair
drooping dew lashes
softstep
and flower marks!
Fairy wings are quite diverse in their strengths and weaknesses— so far, in Lunaeria, you can find fairies who possess butterfly, moth, dragonfly, bee, beetle, pixie, and hybrid wings.
Since this is Ari’s domain, I won’t get into these things all too much! You can check out the pros, cons, and appearance of wings in detail here. AND you can read more about fairy features here!
merfolk
Merfolk are ethereally beautiful creatures who, of course, are human waist up, and fish below the hip. They’re incredibly important for both trade and culture, though I’ll dive into both of those more through Lueimaara.
The mer practice water, pacifying, mending, reflective, and vocal magic; while they typically use it for good, sometimes they like to have a bit of fun.
Mermaids are the pinnacle of beauty, even to fairies, so those who resemble them are often seen as especially radiant across Lunaeria— especially to nobles. Much of their traded product is extremely valuable to fairies, an example of this are pearls and coral.
Like fairies, merfolk try to remain a legend to mankind.
mushlings
Mushlings are calm humanoid creatures who have mushroom-like features, like mushroom caps and fungi-toned skin.
They’re found deep in the woodlands, and do not speak with fairies very often due to both distance and culture— don’t misunderstand their soft nature to be hostile nor unwelcoming, as they are very reserved and warm to any visitors traveling by. Mushlings prefer the moss and thick twine of Outer Lunaeria trees rather than the bustle of daily fae life, so you won’t see them ever faring too close to fairy cities.
Mushlings are especially sensitive to the health of the forest’s floor, so if something’s going on, they’re one of the first to catch the issue. Because of their deep connection to Lunaeria, they also possess a connection only they can translate to each other. Through this connection, they can speak to their fellow mushlings through memories and shared knowledge.
dryads
Dryads are the ‘Gods’ of Lunaeria’s fae.
They take the form of trees, and will speak through riddles and the echo of the forest should they need to communicate. Dryads are strong pillars of the forest, and will fiercely protect the inhabitants should danger come to Lunaeria.
Not a lot is known about them, but many myths have come from these old creatures.
Some say that the mosslings sprouting from a dryad’s feet are toddling babies who’ll grow into looming protectors of the forest, others believe wilder stories.
courts
ok so erm here’s my stuff T-TTT
I may speak on this more in detail eventually? So far, we’re just gonna summarize things!
the opulence
Lunaeria is ruled by the Opulent family. The current Opulent is always a feminine presenting fairy, and her spouse is always denoted as the Grandeur of Lunaeria.
As of today, the reigning Opulence is Leonora Opulent, and her Grandeur is Pavel Opulent.
Instead of corruption and odd sentiment, Leonora rules with strict policies over the fae’s existence being a mystery to humans and fairness amongst the lower courts. She’s not one for overly flowery and insincere gestures, while she’s tried ridding the upper courts of such things, she’s always received too much pushback from noble fae for her to truly encourage plainer mannerisms.
Ines Opulent, the former Opulent and Leonora’s mother, played an important role in shaping Leonora’s current policies.
Their children are:
Maeve Opulent, the first daughter who’s next in line for the throne, and the nobles’ favorite.
Jude Opulent, the first son, and is not competing for Lunaeria’s rule.
And finally Cadmi Opulent, the second daughter, and will take Maeve’s position should she be unable to rule.
higher court
The higher court consists of legacy families due to shared history, loyalty, and/or craftsmanship. While these families are influential, they are punished should they exert an inappropriate amount of power over their craft and/or region. The Opulent family watches them all like a hawk and will even call upon lesser fae to keep them in check.
These families include:
The Bramblehocks, a highly regarded warden's family.
The Eayrsalms, who some say rival the Bramblehock’s wardens.
The Dewses, who’re bloomkeepers specifically tasked with tending to the Opulence’s flowers.
The Cloveries, who own the largest branch of healers.
The Iresvelles, the most famed seamstresses in Lunaeria, and are heavily commissioned by the Opulent family.
The Pingarees, who take the highest management positions amongst those who care for animals, and have now started branching into merfolk trade.
the lesser court
The lesser court is the general public— so the non-noble fae fall here. The lesser court do not necessarily encompass ‘less important fairies’ they simply hold no obligation to noble affairs and are not tied to legacy families.

fairy sayings
Fairies have certain phrases they say that differ from humans. Please check Ari’s post on this here for more information!!!
a short tidbit on econ
Lunaeria does not have a set ‘currency’, instead, fairies here trade and barter for their goods. All things have a perceived ‘base’ value, though this can fluctuate based on whether the product is in or out of season. Out of season items are more valuable than in-season items as long as they’re of good quality.
You can essentially trade anything and everything you’ve got for another item, though some vendors may ask for certain products in exchange for their goods or services.
cities
this is also my stuff, i may post about all the cities in detail another time, but as of right now, please enjoy these summaries!
lueimaara
“Lueimaara is a lilypad-dwelling fairy city located around the outskirts of the capital. Fairies can often be seen riding fish, napping in the crevices of waterlily flowers, and playing flutes made with the stems of lily pads.”
fenlark
“Fenlark is a large valley town that sees to certain flower varieties, like the lily of the valley, and trades with lower dwelling fae. They invented the The Dandeline, which allows fairies to travel with puffball flowers, mature dandelions, to limit flight fatigue. They harvest dew in the earliest hours of dawn (and also harvest the most amount of dew in general).”
barbary oak
“Barbery Oak is a shrubland village. They live in the twine of bushes, which causes the residents' signature trait! Their skin and hair always smell of sweet berries. Barbery is also the jam capital. Other than jam, because of their natural perfume, they also create perfume based on the berry bushes they inhabit.”
seraglen
“Seraglen is by far the largest flower field town in Lunaeria. You can find dozens of different flower species here, and because of the abundance, bloomkeepers stay here in spring. The flowers here are also considered to be the best beds since the flowers are unbelievably soft.”
brackenshire
“Brackenshire is a log and mushroom dwelling village. Beetle fairies are very commonly found here due to the volume of work they find here, like bloomkeepers with flower field villages. Brackenshire is also known as the lumber network since they trade so much wood with other fairy towns.”
laramest canopy
“Laramest Canopy houses the spritely branch inhabitants of Lunaeria. They harvest a lot of fruit, and have invented many pulley systems for animals and fae alike. The Laramest fae are particularly comfortable among squirrels, as they often hitch a ride on these zooming creatures for a bit of fun.”
auberfort
“Auberfort is Lunaeria’s outskirts town closest to the nearest human civilization. Foragers and wardens frequent here for ‘liberated’ human goods. Since fairies cannot interact with humans directly, they must steal, and few are willing to take that risk— Auberfort almost monopolizes that threat.”
alcove
“Alcove is the capital of Lunaeria. A little bit of everything’s here, log fairies, pond living fairies— but the main kind of housing available here are fairy-made houses— like mushroom and teapot houses. It’s not cheap to live here, but it definitely is the most lively, and rich with opportunity. You’ll find a lot of nobles here out chattering about tea and any upcoming banquets.”
conclusion
this doesnt really even scratch the surface of how much ari and I have done for this dr, even with her posts so far, i think not even half of this DR's been spoken for yet!
we originally didnt plan for this one to be this serious, but its honestly a really fun dr to script, and it's far less stressful than my more grim drs!!
ABOUT ASKS!
It would generally be best if asks were sent to the right person based on topic!
I handle courting, general fairy culture, canon people/friends/other residents, lore, history, fairy magic, all cities, fashion, food, humans, foraging, trees, and cooking, while ari handles seasons, merfolk, mushlings, dryads, animals, wings, jobs, fae traditions in the winter (wintering), fairy sayings/ expressions, music, dangers, diseases, and birthing--
BUT if this seems a bit confusing to you, you can always send an ask to either of us, and we'll kinda just talk abt it collectively LOL we always do that anyway, so trust me, it's not gonna bother us much at all!
is there something that sticks out to you?
court life (noble families, conflict in noble families + royal family, history)

fae fashion
cooking

ᴄᴏᴏᴋɪɴɢ
Cooking is a major part of life for fairies, especially bakers, personal cooks, and store owners who run restaurants. Unlike humans, magic is often used to prepare food.
ʜᴇᴀᴛɪɴɢ
Firestones are intensely heated rocks that lie in hearths and cooking pits. Fire isn’t even used in fae territory due to how difficult it can be to tame, so fairies opt for these stones instead. Firestones activate when they’re dusted with a mix of pixie dust and doused in sunlight-cured water. Darker firestones can get hotter quicker, but are more susceptible to cracking, and lighter crystals ease into a deeper heat more gradually. Evenly marbled firestones have the benefits of being less prone to bursts and fractures, plus heating up quicker. The best firestones are frequently referred to as Cooker’s stones.
ꜰɪʀᴇꜱᴛᴏɴᴇꜱ
Firestones come in different hues, shapes, gradations, and sizes. They are cooled— or ‘doused’ with moonlight water, OR water that hasn’t been cured with sunlight. Sunlight-cured water is any source of water that’s been sun-warmed for an extended period of time for at least one full week. Salt, fresh— it doesn’t matter! When activated, they glow brightly and flicker when a cool, crisp breeze passes by. Smoother crystals are easier to control, but they’re definitely pricer; mermaids will tumble jagged firestones in water and sell them to fairies when they look smooth enough to sell.
LARGE/JAGGED
Larger jagged firestones are used for general heating in hearths. These pieces typically have a more exaggerated gradation starting from the base up to the tip of the crystal. It’s hard to finely control heat from these stones, and dousing them is equally as difficult when they’ve been warmed for a long period of time.
Rough, uneven firestone
MEDIUM/SMOOTH
Large or medium-sized firestones are used in large clay furnaces. The smoother surfaces allow the warmth to be circulated throughout the gem in a more even way, which allows the embedded sensory crystals inside the inner walls of the appliance— or the lid— to accurately sense the level of heat within the enclosed space.
Polished moderate firestone
SMALL/JAGGED
Small jagged crystals are cheap and great for quickly warming up leftovers. A very fine dusting of pixie dust should be used to activate these crystals, since they’re prone to heating way too quickly, causing them to potentially burst.
SMALL/SMOOTH
Cauldrons, teapots, and some beverages use small smooth firestones to heat liquid. Make sure these pebbles are sizable enough not to pass through spouts, are easily strainable, and generally won’t be consumed by the drinker!
ᴄᴜʀɪɴɢ
Certain flowers, vines, stems, and fruit need to be cured before achieving a specific taste or standard. Angel’s Trumpet, for example, is often used to create instruments— but they must be cured first to flush and kill the toxins in the flower. Sometimes, these ingredients may need to undergo multiple phases of curing to gain a certain taste, style, or type of usability.
DETOXIFICATION
Detoxification can be a bit different depending on the material of the item, but typically, it follows an overnight blanching process— this is where the item soaks in sun-cured water with ground ievoranth seeds overnight. In the morning, the object should be thoroughly rinsed and/or squeezed in fresh sun-cured water.
SUGAR CURE
Petals need to be blanched quickly to remove any unwanted waste, then sugar dissolved in mice milk fat must be brushed lightly onto the petals. Drown the petals gently in sugar, and wait anywhere from 12-24 hours for the petals to completely dry out.
HONEY CURE
Honey cures are pretty simple— just fully submerge the desired item in honey for a full day.
ꜱᴍᴏᴋɪɴɢ
Smoking gives fabric and dishes different scents and/or tastes. All you have to do is set the object and a smoking candle on a flat surface, then ‘light’ the candle with a shard of activated firestone. Note that this will not produce a flame, but it will cause the candle to smoke from the wick! Quickly press a hollow quartz dome over the candle and item, then wait for anywhere from 3 hrs-12 hrs. Please do not use regular candles for this! Other than cooking made smoking candles, pure wood can be used for this.
Tea leaves, cakes, flour, water, petals, and fabric can be smoked.
ꜱᴍᴏᴋɪɴɢ ᴄᴀɴᴅʟᴇꜱ
Smoking candles are held to extremely high standards. To professionally sell them, or to sell any pastry/food item that has been fragranced by candles, you’ll need to obtain a certificate. If you make and sell smoking candles, you’ll need a Maker’s Permit. If you’re just using them, you’ll need to sign a Maker’s Permit’s Clause, which you’ll receive from candle makers.
To make them, you’ll need:
Beeswax
Fruit peels
Aromatic wood (like sandalwood)
Nutmeg or mace
Floral oils (ylang ylang is the most common)
Cotton wicks
ᴍᴀᴋɪɴɢ ᴀ ꜱᴍᴏᴋɪɴɢ ᴄᴀɴᴅʟᴇ
ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴀꜱᴇ
The beeswax used has to be extremely clean, so the beeswax is typically filtered and rendered many times before it’s used.
To render beeswax, you place it in water, and let the contents simmer until it melts. The impurities should float up to the surface. Strain the wax through cloth, and boil the mixture again and again until no pollutants are seen in the wax.
ꜰʟᴀᴠᴏʀ ᴀɴᴅ ꜰʀᴀɢʀᴀɴᴄᴇ
Once the beeswax is clean, pour the desired amount of ground seasonings and oils in the mixture.
Note that ingredients that are more finely ground will be more apparent in the smoke of the candle!
ꜱʜᴀᴘᴇ ᴀɴᴅ ᴄᴏᴏʟɪɴɢ
Place a cotton wick into empty, clean eggshells, then pour the wax mixture in. Ensure the egg shell is in a little egg stand. Double wick smoking candles give out a stronger fragrance in a shorter amount of time.
ɢʀɪɴᴅɪɴɢ
Grinding is a simple but essential part of fairy cooking. It’s especially used to process spices and make seasoning brews. A brown clay mortar and pestle are generally used across most kitchens to grind herbs and crystals, but different materials will grant you different flavors.
As a baker or a chef, it would be best to have mortar and pestles in made of every clay type! Caesor and seredies eru clay instruments are most commonly used amongst bakers, though, for their flavor profiles.
This is what a mortar and pestle looks like!
ᴄʟᴀʏ
ᴄᴀᴇꜱᴏʀ ᴄʟᴀʏ
Speckled purple-black clay, commonly known as caesor clay, gives crushed ingredients a slightly nuttier and sweeter taste. This flavor profile is similar to a sweetened coconut with a hint of toffee.
ꜱᴇʀᴇᴅɪᴇꜱ ᴇʀᴜ ᴄʟᴀʏ
Seredies eru clay is a clear, light blue that turns lilac when exposed to the sun. Mortar and pestles made out of this clay bring out a fresh mint and dark chocolate taste. Seredies eru is used a lot in winter.
ᴛᴀʟᴜᴍ ᴄʟᴀʏ
Talum clay is really smooth, soft, and the most delicate clay used for grinding utensils. It’s found in ponds, especially lotus-inhabited waters. Talum clay is black, and when used for cooking, it gives food a hint of black sesame and umami.
ᴅʏᴏʀɪᴛᴇ ʜɪɢʜʟᴀɴᴅꜱ ᴄʟᴀʏ
Dyorite highlands clay is found in higher-laying areas. It’s bright white, and the best samples are taken at cloud level— dyorite clay here has the strongest and richest flavors. The flavors found from this clay include bay leaves and tomatoes.
