Both lambrigue and lambtthias are good but imagining Felix and Dimitri as step brothers is pure chaos. Now Sylvain and Dimitri would work out great because they're basically already siblings. The Sylvain and Dimitri B support was peak "I did something stupid and now I need my big brother to help me fix it". That said, we still need to pray for Lambert and Matthias because Sylvain and Dimitri are going to get into dumb shenanigans.
Honestly, with Lambrigue, I think the only one who'd have an issue about being stepbrothers is Felix LMAOO Dimitri would be all dandy with it, if anything else, it's mostly to get a rise out of Felix cuz it's just funny and Dimitri can be a little petty as a treat -- besides! He's happy for their fathers! They're in love! ( Felix is too deep down, but is still gonna complain about it )
In the case of Lambthias -- yeah I think in this case it would work out better because, like you said, Dimitri and Sylvain already have a sort of sibling-like relationship! Would it be weird at first? Probably, mostly on Sylvain's end because, well, he didn't expect this from his father of all people but you know what? he would roll with it eventually-- because while Matthias wasn't the world's number one dad, I don't think Sylvain resents him -- if anything, I think he'd be happy for his father ( would this lead them down a path of bettering their relationship? who knows! but it's not out of the question! )
Wheeze, just imagining Lambert and Matthias like that one scene from the Lion King with Mufasa and Sarabi -- Dimitri and Sylvain are definitely up to no good, by accident mind you, early in the goddamn morning and their dads are asleep and Matthias mumbling from his place against Lambert's chest--

and Lambert rumbling back a sleepy --
