I really liked how some common tropes were handled this season and how the writers turned them into instances where the characters were looking out for Sophie. Mrs. Crabtree checked in with Sophie to make sure she wasn't getting taken advantage of instead of the "don't seduce him" we see alot and then talked to Benedict about the inherit power imbalance between them and what that meant. Mrs. Mondrich could have used what she heard between Sophie and Benedict in the hallway against them to gain favor with the queen but instead helped her by standing up to the queen AND then still earning favor. mama Bridgerton telling Benedict to give Sophie space was for SOPHIE'S benefit cause she was worried she was being put in a tough spot, not knowing yet that Benedict was actually in love
