I think The Gang Buys a Roller Rink could’ve benefited from a Rashomon style delivery of the Gang telling their versions of the past and it cutting back to the present with someone interrupting being like “THAT’S NOT HOW IT HAPPENED” “I DON’T SOUND LIKE THAT” “I’VE NEVER SAID THAT” etc. That’s always funny and lends more to the unreliable narrator trope. And if things are inconsistent, which they were, it’s easier to forgive/write off bc everyone’s telling their own versions and no one remembers things correctly. Also I’m a sucker for the actors having to act how they think their characters would act from another character’s POV. Anyway.
