It makes the others realise how much they truly need him. Logan takes them all out on dates, specifically tailored to them. With Roman it was dancing by a lake they always visit.

So I came up with an AU idea based on "The Little Mermaid" and typed it out. Decided I wanted to share it here- so here ya go!

The sea is split into four "sections", each kingdom/section being named after one of the cardinal directions(East, West, North, and South).

Virgil is the prince of the Western Sea. However, he isn't super enthusiastic about his position in society- or just being a mer at all. He's curious about humans- maybe a bit too much- to the point where he wants to live as one.

He falls in love with a human prince - Patton - and asks his friend, the prince of the Northern Sea, Roman, for help.

He has to hide his fascination with humans and his love for Patton from his father, King Emile, and his personal knight and childhood friend, Logan, and while hiding it, the other two mer princes find out.

Remy is the prince of the Northern Sea, and Dolos(Deceit) is prince of the Eastern Sea. The three other princes help Virgil win Patton's heart and somehow find a way for him to live as both a human and a mer.

However, living as both isn't as easy as it seems, as Virgil soon finds out.

He doesn't keep anything from Patton, so he's aware of why he leaves for days at a time and where he is.

But his father and Logan aren't aware of any of it. And Virgil doesn't plan to let them know either.

They get suspicious, wondering why Virgil leaves for so long. And one day, Logan follows him.

I has more, but Tumblr apparently has a word count for these, so Patton looks after all the sides, but when he's sick they all come together to look after him and it makes him feel so loved and happy. Roman writes songs for the others in his spare time, when the others find out they ask him to sing to them. It makes the others cry, as it compliments everything about them and shows just how much Roman truly loved them
