Chat i need ideas for drawing angst.
whatever you do, don’t imagine john laurens recklessly running into battle, knowing he probably won’t come out. don’t imagine him lying on the ground, thinking of alexander just before he closes his eyes for the last time. don’t imagine alexander receiving the letter that notifies him about john’s death in the middle of supper, and he has to excuse himself. don’t imagine alexander shutting himself in his room for days on end, barely eating, barely talking out of his grief. don’t imagine him rereading all of their letters, and thinking about what could’ve been had john joined him in congress. and don’t imagine how alexander is never the same afterwards, and nobody can figure out that he lost his first love to a pointless death after the war had already ended.
Laurens: 'Cause if the tomcat can get married!

Laurens (Internally): I guess there's no hope after all...

Snow Day
Teen and Up (This is however part of a daily advent set of stand alone fic which does include some with mature themes)
Summary: John wakes Alex up, excited about the snow.
Pairing: John Laurens/Alexander Hamilton (part of my D/s verse but this one is not D/s based!)
Teaser:
“Wake up, wake up, wake up!” John says, bouncing on top of Alex.
He rolls over, awake whether he wants to be or not, but he feels the chill of the room and pulls the blanket over his head. “Come back to bed, it’s too cold,” he complains.
John pulls the covers off of him. “It snowed. Come on,” John announces.
Alex groans. They’re both from places that don’t have much snow, but their responses to winter further North couldn’t be more different. Alex wants to hibernate, and has seriously considered trying to get Washington to send him to Georgia, where it might be warmer. John is absolutely obsessed with snow. This isn’t the first time it has snowed this winter, but that doesn’t lessen John’s enthusiasm. He always wants to get out into it when it’s fresh, before people have trampled the soft, cold powder.
Alex would like to roll over in bed and pretend to go back to sleep. But he loves John, and really, the other man doesn’t ask for much. He can indulge him on this. He sits up.
