From Lana Quickley's Diary
My 18th is coming soon. I'm only slightly younger than Juliette Li. And the difference between me and her, Watcher, is that you have blessed her with two babies and a wonderful husband. And I'm stuck here doing my mother's job and pining.
Though lust is a sin, I'm beginning to see the appeal of casual affairs like the feminists and prostitutes have. There is no love needed, no attachment. I do not have to cleave myself to my husband. But of course, Watcher, my faith to you is eternal! But I just want to stop doing my mother's job.
Though I can't help but feel pity for Cat Lepin, my brother keeps watching her like a hawk with an oggling. Didn't you say for men to pluck their eyes out if they lusted?
