I never saw your post bc I was actually referring to tweets that I saw, not tumblr posts 😭😭 though as I said you’re perfectly entitled to your opinion and I actually respect yours more BECAUSE you’re also an arab fan/palestinian, which I believe are the voices that actually matter in the conversation. I simply didn’t like seeing a bunch of white swifties on twitter get viral tweets about “can now all the fans bitching for Taylor to speak shut the fuck up” (when on twitter it has LARGELY been white fans vs poc fans on this matter, I had instances of ppl being racist to me over it) because a.) I feel like that shouldn’t be the first thing people think of, nor b.) do I think it’s fair to dunk on people that were having a perfectly valid conversation about how they felt when the person they dedicate time to was one of the only ones that didn’t speak (and automatically assuming they didn’t care for her safety, or even assuming that they were saying she HAD to. I just think the disappointment was okay for people to express). I’m sorry if you felt subposted or called out when I wasn’t referring to you! 🤍

i don't disagree that the white fans on twitter deserve to be called out. most of the twitter fandom needs a wake up call imo. and i don't disagree with the disappointment either, i think it's valid and real and i've also felt it myself. i wish she would say something! on the purely emotional level, i really do. my stance though has shifted very strongly towards "no, not speaking is the right call" because of things like this. the constant stalking, threats, the southport stabbing, THIS news. i genuinely do not want her or any fans to be put in danger because of this. and honestly, it's also bc the truth is she would not have the impact the fandom seems to think she would. i say this from my lived experience IN Palestine guys - nothing western celebrities say or do has any impact on our material reality. it's not that simple.

anyways, i digress. it shouldn't be the first thing people think of, i agree with you fully. and i'm very sorry other fans have been racist towards you on twitter bc of this. thank you for reaching out. it's very kind and respectful and i appreciate it. it's so rare to actually hash out misunderstandings on this website! sorry again for my response also.

autumn!!! i finished TBOSAS!!!! i posted a bunch of more specific thoughts in the tags of a post on my blog, but overall I absolutely LOVED it and it left me feeling hollow on the inside lol. such a well done piece i literally can’t believe it (and to think there’s like… a sizable amount of ppl who don’t like it???? they have to be misunderstanding the whole thing or something lol)

Hi Lana!!! <3 I know the haters simply don’t get it and that’s so sad!! 😭 I loved how you mentioned that his story to becoming a villain was supposed to make you feel sad for the consequences of his actions towards other people but not for him as a person. That’s such a good point to bring up especially when talking about the dislikers of the book because I’ve seen so many people say how they didn’t like that the book made them “sympathize with him to such an extent” which I also sympathized with him towards the beginning but the longer the book went on the less I sympathized with him. I think Suzanne Collins did a FANTASTIC job at writing his character. It really showed how he became a villain (without trying to make him NOT a villain) and I enjoyed (using that word loosely lol) understanding how his mind worked and how a human being could be that evil in THG trilogy. I loved all the connections to THG too, every time Lucy Gray did something similar to Katniss made me have a full circle moment and say to myself: “wow no wonder he had such a vendetta against her.” I also don’t know if Lucy survived, she definitely was smart enough to but if she did I still don’t think that she is Katniss’ grandmother. Maude Ivory also makes the most sense to be Katniss’ grandmother because Maude Ivory never forgets a toon!!! You know Maude Ivory had so much fun singing songs for her kid(s). 🥺 The book just really exceeded in its job of adding to the story without ruining it which I feel is so rare!! I’m glad you enjoyed it and if you have any other thoughts or theories lmk! 💕💕

hi honey 💖💖 Ik that sometimes we SO BADLY want to be finally understood by the person we love, and so sometimes when it finally happens, we decide to forgive and move on with it, despite ppl telling u it should end. that’s human! that’s normal! you’re not the only one! but when it happens time and time again, I think what happens is the realization you’re coming to rn, which is that it can’t and shouldn’t move on. i know it hurts and it sucks but at the end of the day you deserve so much more — yes all relationships have ups and downs, but you deserve one where the ups will outweigh the downs, where the downs aren’t so frequent and bring you to the edge of it ending every single time. i hope you just remember everything taylor has gone through and what she’s learned, and what she would want for you too 💌💌💌 you’ve got this and I love you
