Daily Fic Review #5
Hiding Place by MilkTeaMiku is one of my favorite (if not favorite over all the many omegaverse fics I’ve read) omegaverse fics. It’s really about Klance finding themselves, and learning to be there for each other rather than just porn without plot like most of the omegaverse fics I’ve read. The fic is mainly about Klance trying to be more comfortable around each other, and becoming a more functional relationship, especially in the time of need when Lance is nesting. But no worries! It’s not largely just emotions and drabble, but really fluffy dynamics. (And unlike most omega/alpha and heats, it’s not about fucking during the heat. No shame if that’s what you’re into, though.) MilkTeaMiku is definitely part of my top author lists because they write with a lot of care for the scenes they put in, making every word worth it and not just space-filling. The way they describe Keith’s emotions in this fic is impressive because even though I could never imagine being in that situation, I can somehow understand his complex with ease. And the dialogue alike. 5/5 stars
