I think everyone on here probably knows about the new Turkey Tom video with alleged leaks from Tyler and L’s friend about L’s serious mental illness and the friend group’s Discord chat logs. Ngl, my stomach dropped when I found out…
I do not have the bandwidth to deal with this in a considered manner right now, but unfortunately, I believe the leaks are mostly credible and this person is Tyler and L’s former roommate. It’s disgusting that this sensitive information about their relationship and L’s mental illness have been exposed and exploited in such a way.
First things first: I think it’s very suspicious that this video seemingly corroborates every single right-wing narrative about L being a radicalized, psychotic trans demon who coerced innocent naive autistic Tyler into the shooting, or that L was the actual shooter and Tyler took the fall for them. Why leak to this random YouTuber who specializes in investigating lolcows and is known for being racist, transphobic, and antisemitic? Why is this roommate barely trying to obfuscate his identity, and why is this key evidence being shared so carelessly now? Why is this leak so different in nature from the earlier Klippenstein article, which interviewed friends from the same Discord servers some of these new messages are from?
I haven’t really posted about L here, but I think might have a different perspective from most people who sympathize with Tyler, in that I also know a ton about L. I’ve reviewed basically all of their internet profiles, including ones that haven’t been publicized, I’ve investigated their friends and family connections. (FWIW, I didn’t see any notable signs of psychosis during my reviews). To me they seem like a kind, funny, quirky person who was a fan of Adventure Time and Tally Hall, pretty much someone on my wavelength. L’s internet presence was part of what made me sympathize with Tyler and start this blog—we have so much less first-hand information from him, and knowing who L was assured me that I was supporting the right person. I felt terrible that L was indicted simply for being Tyler’s trans partner when there was no evidence they had anything to do with the crime.
I’m feeling very conflicted. If true, this was clearly a toxic relationship in which L, through no fault of their own, had a certain degree of control over Tyler due to their illness and the fact that their family owned the property they lived in. It appears that Tyler was the only person who cared about L and tried to intervene, and perhaps experienced a lot of stress from his sense of responsibility. Still, we can’t say at this point that they had any role in the shooting or influenced Tyler in a conscious way. The video is defamatory but provides no proof that L was all that political besides mentioning their desire to attend a No Kings protest, and they’d made zero references to Kirk.
I’m very worried for L’s wellbeing and I hope they’re in psychiatric treatment right now—it could genuinely be life-threatening if they find out about this leak. I’m so sorry for Tyler, I hope he’s doing fine and is able to process this however he can in his current situation. I’m just devastated man, I always thought I was rooting for these cute nerdy queer outsider kids; of course, the truth is more complex than that, and this was not a normal loving relationship as I thought it was.
Were lance and tyler really dating or it was just a rumor cooked up by the feds?
Hey, thanks for the ask and sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to you! I've wanted to make a post on this for a while but it never quite felt like the right time. I think it's safe to say that yes, they were dating, but you'll have to put your faith in a couple of questionable sources. I'm going to put together all the unofficial evidence that we have below; forgive me if you already know some of this, I'm just compiling everything so it's easier for me in the future. 🩷
1) The irrefutable: Candace Owens published two photos from Lance's private instagram.
In the first post, Lance's caption says: "My bf is the best, luv u @ craftin247." Tyler is wearing the same Castle Crashers Bitey Bat hat that Lance is wearing in these photos:
Tyler is sitting against a staircase which matches the one seen in the Zillow listing of their apartment (note that the listing was made before either of them moved in). The song used in the second post is also in one of Lance's Spotify playlists.
I can't be sure who shared these with Candace, but I have a feeling it might be Lance's cousin, who follows Candace and TPUSA, reposted a TikTok of Candace talking about Lance, and also follows the account these posts were taken from (@ lanc_spam).

2) Independent journalist Ken Klippenstein interviewed Tyler's friends, who confirmed that Tyler and Lance were in a relationship.
3) The Turkey Tom video that is largely a disgusting, exploitative exposé of Lance's mental illness with some details about their relationship on the side. I won't go into all of that, but you can see some of my posts on it here and here, and feel free to DM if you want more clarification. The video is def exaggerated in some aspects, but sadly, I think it's mostly truthful.
What the video asserted is that Tyler and Lance started talking online in 2020 and dating in 2024, shortly after Tyler moved in. Lance may have suffered from schizoaffective disorder or a similar condition that was exacerbated by drug use, and Tyler may have been her main caretaker, calming her down during episodes and bringing her to the psychiatrist. Obviously that dynamic wouldn’t have been healthy, but the video provides no proof that Lance was manipulative or controlling of Tyler, or that she “groomed” him into murdering Kirk as right-wing media has claimed.
There are only two Discord messages provided by the leaker that directly mention their relationship.
4) A few of Lance's relatives and family friends have been interviewed by conservative media of varying degrees of legitimacy. Three interviews state that Tyler and Lance were dating, and two do not dispute their relationship.

[Lance's family] told us that Tyler and him had been living together for at least a year, that they had not met Tyler despite the fact that Lance had wanted to foster that meeting, that they, the two of them, this couple, Tyler and Lance, were living in that townhome that is owned by Lance's family and that Tyler was paying rent to Lance and Lance then of course was forwarding that payment to them.

I don't know why they'd publish something so positive lol. She doesn't explicitly talk about their relationship but also doesn't deny it

6) Some examples of their shared interests: they were both in the Webfishing Modding Discord server. Webfishing is one of Lance's favorite games and she’s made many posts about it online, including a Youtube video of her playing a song in a modded version of the game (I won't be posting it here as it's one of her only profiles that haven’t been swarmed by trolls.)
Lance has been a big fan of Tally Hall since at least 2022. Tyler's Spotify has just two public playlists and they're both Tally Hall-related. He follows six artists, and four are related to the band. It's giving "partner who isn't super into music, got introduced to her favorite band, and now it's the only thing he'll listen to" lol

7) Not to end this on a negative note, but a neighbor has described in an interview with the Sun how he saw Tyler and Lance holding hands and kissing while out for a "doctor's appointment." He's been interviewed by other outlets talking shit about Tyler (apparently, he, a Mormon, asked Tyler if he'd like to go to church, and Tyler told him to fuck off??). He seems like a moron and the reporters talking to him are exceedingly stupid so it's up to you whether you believe this or not.
That's all for now. I think there's sufficient evidence that they were in a relationship, though we still know frustratingly little about the two of them together. It's funny how we have so much more info on Lance and her online presence, while we have almost nothing for Tyler. I hope I was able to convince you! Some musings on the whereabouts of Tyler’s family and L
The Daily Heil has sent a “journalist” to stalk the Robinson family home and the apartment shared by Tyler and L (sorry but I have to: archived link). Someone has put up no trespassing signs at the Robinson house. What seems true at least is that their houses are currently unoccupied.
I wanted to briefly touch upon the question of how the Robinsons and L are doing now. Tyler’s parents and L are considered key witnesses. I hope they’re currently safe and being supported by their loved ones, but if they’re in witness protection, that could be majorly traumatizing in a different way. Witness protection entails the complete replacement of your identity and the severing of ties with unprotected family and friends. It would be absolutely terrible to go through this with no support.
I can’t really locate any information on whether Tyler’s family are in protective custody right now. Tyler’s grandma claimed she hadn’t been contacted by his dad after his surrender (archived source). The Free Press visited their house a couple of weeks ago and noticed that someone had left food on their doorstep, but it could just be for someone housesitting for them and not an indication of their presence (source; free account required).
The Daily Mail and NYP also went to Tyler and L’s house like three weeks ago. Obviously there was no one. The upstairs lights were still on, L’s car was parked outside the house, and there were packages on the front step. A “neighbor” recounted L being taken away (edited name and pronouns because fuck the daily mail):

Washington County sheriff Nate Brooksby has said that L is “currently in a safe space far away from St. George,” but has refused to answer if they’re in protective custody (source 1, source 2). Candace Owens claims that L was questioned for six hours by the police and then released, but that their family doesn’t know where they are right now (source). L is not contacting their family because they’re “arrogant,” but she’s also saying that they were “angry” about being “raided by the feds”?
I don’t know wtf she’s getting at but anyway. I highly doubt that L was only questioned for such a short amount of time, given they’re the most important witness in this case and the FBI’s disproportionate crackdown on Tyler’s friend circles. The FBI was/is investigating 20 people in Tyler’s Discord server, insinuating that they might have known about his plot (The Hill, Newsweek). If L can’t be contacted by family, it’s possible they’re in witness protection and I just worry that’s an opportunity for the FBI to use abusive interrogative tactics.
I know we’re unlikely to hear from the Robinsons or L anytime soon. It’s definitely in their best interest to lay low right now. But with them being silenced, we have no way of knowing if the statements provided by the government are entirely accurate. I’m just so sorry for them and wish this would blow over soon, but realistically speaking, the trial is going to be one prolonged, torturous affair.

(As a side note, I think I have a reasonable idea of who is supplying this insider information to Candace… it’s someone quite close to L’s immediate family. I know I said I’d post about Tyler’s time at school—that writeup is nearly done. I’m fitting in these posts between assignments which I desperately need to get back to rn.
