For someone who had governed the city under the most stressful moments, the life in Spirale had proved to be diametrically opposite. He spent the whole day resting on that couch and watching the random messages and comments on the network until the simplicity of mongrel life overcame his interest. Then, there was this videogame device Enkidu adored, or plotting strange chess movements with the sinner priest.
Gracing the city with his presence was out of question that early, and he had already finished amusing himself with the latest messages concerning Rider and the King of Knights.
And it was so close to midday, he was growing impatient to see what his new slave would do. The boy was proud of his cooking abilities..., and this was particularly intriguing, like a challenge against his absurdly high standards.
The King stretched on the couch like a lazy cat and rolled over, staring at the clock on the wall.
