Meet our 🐓 🐓🐓 ... When we arrived we had a plant based diet so except for their manure to enrich the soil and eat the bugs in the garden there was no reason to have chickens. So how did we end up having them? First time: we saved a bunch of chickens, ducks and a beautiful goose from the slaughter house..(honestly it was not a big success building up our place and having so much animals ) Second time our former land mates left them here with us Third time we got one via FBanimal save that looked for a new home ... so all together they form a nice pack, strolling around the fields... waking us up in the early morning They are amazing to look at, what a creatures !! 🐓 They don’t know how to breed really.. I guess that is the tragedy of being hatched under a lamp ;(( Although their instinct takes over sometimes and they sit on (un)fertilized eggs for weeks .. maybe next spring... ah well we have enough chickens anyway!
