Once upon a time I had a forum roleplay character/OC named Lanen Kyler and she apparently has a similar style to Strongbow. Hmmmmmmm.
Lanen predates Aelawynn by a good 10 years and I had almost forgotten about her. She was pretty cool I guess. In my original version of her (in a comic I was writing) she was a Skin Changer and her main form was actually a wolf who, after dying to save her friend, was given the ability to change into a human as a way to get humans and wolves to coexist. She was badly burned by a nasty old Hunter man and from then on became a sort of avenging assassin type character, using the hunter's knife as her main weapon. I think she eventually chose to live as a human after falling in love with a human that could become a wolf. Unlike her, who was a wolf that could become human.
She also only had four fingers on each hand.
