The Electricity and Electronics Technology (E/ET) Department at Laney College is an educational center that provides Technical Education to students who want to enter demanding job markets in Electrical Technology, Electronics, and related fields. The reputation of the department as a quality educational provider that is responsive to students’ and industries’ needs, establishes the department as a regional model for delivering technical education. Student learning and academic success is the department’s highest priority. Environmental Control Technology is a technical program offering the theoretical, technical, and problem- solving skills essential for employment in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry. Students completing the suggested curriculum can seek employment as refrigeration technicians, heating, ventilation, air conditioning technicians & building engineers and technicians.
