With what's happened with Duolingo, I'm looking for a new language app, but need some help.

Is there a Japanese language app that is:

Great for people with learning disabilities (my brain struggles with language and has to learn it very slowly)

Kid friendly

Colorful

I've seen a bunch of posts with all these recommendations, but it's super overwhelming and I have no idea where to start.

A friend of mine just made a website/app for language exchange and to connect with people across the world! (Kinda like interpals, but more modern and without tracking)

It can be used to find international friend, pen pals, to practice language skills, etc. <3

I’m a G cup, yes I’m aware my boobs are huge, I don’t need you to tell me. 🙄 Men. In non trying to find a language partner news I actually get to see my boyfriend next week and I’m excited. We only get to see each other every month or so which makes me look forward to our time together even more. Downside, I haven’t really been open with him about how bad things have been health wise. I’m stuck between keeping that just as a problem my husband and I share and not putting any damper on our evening/relationship or actually letting him in and explaining everything. I don’t know what to do. We’ve been seeing each other for almost a year and he knows about the transplant and that I was really sick from CMV but he doesn’t really know the details. I just don’t want him to think I’m one big burden. :/

About another app: Bunpo

I decided to search for new apps, thinking it can help me get back to studying japanese on my own when I found Bunpo.

I don't know if I have mentioned this but... if anyone ever reads this, I do not recommend studying on your own, I created this blog as a journal, to keep myself motivated. I do not have serious plans, like doing the JLPT test or moving to Japan, so if you're actually considering those things... do classes / go to school to learn properly:)

That being said...

I came across Bunpo recently and thought it is a pretty good app. Very simple UI, easy to find content in its categories. It does require you to pay to review your words, but I guess you can ignore that tab and do your own reviewing system...

This app reminds me a bit of Coban, which I also like but... has some bugs. Both follow a similar structure of reading about the subject and then doing a quick test. Veeeery different from Duolingo, which has a more complex interface, full of illustrations and sounds BUT does not give you proper information and you just go with the flow, not understanding grammar or where the heck you are (beginner, intermediate, idk?).

The app does not provide pictures like Busuu does, but it's still quite useful, especially if you prefer to navigate through specific categories rather than follow a sequence of unlockable lessons.

App Highlight ✨ Grammatisch

As per usual, I keep digging through the app store in the hunt for awesome language apps. Today I bring you this grammar app for German.

It has the "basics" of German grammar according to level, it includes explanations and exercises.

I have no idea whether this is available for iOS, so let me know.

Clozemaster is a great vocabulary builder app if you’re learning a language. It also has grammar exercises for some languages.

There’s even Latin. So dope.
