I found a clip of the JPN Dub. It sounds pretty good to me, especially Silver and Doppler!

If anyone understands Japanese, I’d like to hear your thoughts about the performances and possible dialogue changes? =0 (There are captions for this but they’re auto-cap Japanese)

My eyes and brain hurt so instead of watching Knack 2, I'm mostly listening to it.

So far, I noticed that Knack's spooky choir when he uses his powers in the first game is swapped out for something else in the second.

Then I switched to the Latin American Spanish dub, for Reasons.

Lucas sounds like a nerd.

Knack's voice is still very deep, but softer. I'm not sure how to describe it.

"Holaa~" I'm DEAD lmao!

Lucas is very not-a-jerk in this one. I'm surprised and delighted. "Ya estás listo, Knack?" is asked in a very friendly manner. His next phrase is some variation of hurry up, Knack, I want to leave/play, but the tone doesn't carry any scorn that I can hear. He just really wants to get going and is maybe distracted. He only starts getting impatient with "¡Vamos, Knack!" At which point Knack is already on his way.

Ryder sounds mostly the same? In terms of his Adventurous Hero archetype. His voice is a bit deeper and lacks a certain je ne sais quoi.

Lucas is still absolutely capable of making fun of the Doctor.

And Ryder is still capable of sounding like a poor meow meow. "Frí-í-o-o-o!" (Cold)

I am fairly happy with the portrayal of Lucas's character so far. He still acts childish because that part of the script is unavoidable, but tone of voice makes all the difference. In contrast in the English dub he seems angry and ungrateful.

The channel I'm watching was recommended by someone on Instagram. It's called Emu2k9. There are no subtitles, so it's a good idea to have some knowledge of Spanish. Sadly, I am stupid and my Spanish teacher was crazy.

Now at the request of my sibling I'm watching a French dub movie that cuts out a lot of stuff. Lucas speaks very softly. Knack's voice is so funny he sounds like a Martian sometimes. Or like he's the personification of gravel. Or an old man.

Xander sounds Exactly the Same.

people who watched dubs of Hazbin— any funny jokes that made it into other languages that aren’t in the original?

For other users like me, that like to either watch or just learn about other language dubs for shows/movies you watch, does anyone else feel like dubs that Pitch Correct their actors while they sing is cheating? Only cuz the original might not have any pitch correction and it's like "ah ah ah i caught that, that's a points deduction".

And oddly enough, this last season for Hazbin I heared Pitch Correction get used a couple of times in a dub, and then in the same dub a character sang and it's unfortunate with how off key they sounded, and it was weird because the dub Pitch Corrected two other actors, both of which were already good singers, and yet left the one actor to fend for themself lol why did they do that do them? (/rhetorical question)

I'm purposefully not naming the exact dub cuz I do feel bad for that one actor and don't want to add any more baggage than they're probably already facing.

But anyway, does anyone else feel this way when you hear a language dub use Pitch Correction for song numbers?

(Btw autotune is a voice distortion filter used by song artists and is not Pitch Correction, which the public seems to think are the same thing when they're not)
