Speaking of Ram, why does Ramlethal still talk like...a robot in her interactions? I know she just recently started to understand the importance of emotions but her going 'Target's Threat Level has increased', it sounded like she reverted back to her old self.
Just because Ram's a little florid in her language doesn't mean she's talking like a machine out of habit.
She has the mindset of a soldier at this point, being part of a mobile brigade, so observing the threat level of things that are dangerous isn't all that uncommon... even Potemkin says such things.
Actually, it's more accurate to say that machines aren't actually supposed to sound like that... technology is morally neutral after all... it's only when they are treated as "weapons built for war" that they DO at times SOUND like that.
It's just that those of us who have played fighting games with "machine-like beings" (like Nu-13, Es, or Lambda-11, or even the original Emotionless Valentine) have often sounded like that, so we jump to those conclusions far sooner than we should.
I would even go so far as to argue that Gears by their nature (even despite initially being built as weapons of war) don't even TALK like that naturally. Certainly not Eddie, or Dr. Paradigm.
Well anyway, my point is... when Humans get rid of the preconceived notion that Gears are "just weapons" (or "just machines")... that's when the REAL conversation between two living beings can start!
