You can meet 5 musical theater characters, but only one per musical. Which 5 do you meet and why?
ooh this is a fun one!!
i would love to meet audrey from little shop. i feel like we’d get along really well. it was tough to choose between her and seymour, and if i could put him on the list i would. i just feel like i could become good friends with audrey.
my next choice is elphaba from wicked. there’s not a whole lot of reasoning behind this other than the fact that i really like her character and i want to be her friend. honestly that’s the reasoning behind a lot of these.
next up would be angelica schuyler from hamilton but only the musical version of her. she’s a queen, what else is there really to say? i want her to teach me how to roast people who have wronged my loved ones, that would be awesome.
after that would be evan hansen from dear even hansen. now, this may come as a surprise, because i am very passionate about my hatred for this show, but let me explain. unlike everyone else on this list, i don’t want to be friends with evan. quite the opposite, actually— i want to punch that motherfucker right in that lying face of his. i’m sorry deh fans, i really hate him. he took advantage of a mourning family for his own benefit, not to mention kissing his crush on her dead brother’s bed. okay, rant over, let’s move on.
last but not least is michael mell from be more chill. i don’t know much about the show, but i’ve listened to “michael in the bathroom” more times than is probably healthy. plus, from what i know of him, i think we’d hit it off.
this was fun, thank you!
Conceptual blending, also called conceptual integration or view application, is a theory of cognition developed by Gilles Fauconnier and Mark Turner. According to this theory, elements and vital relations from diverse scenarios are "blended" in a subconscious process, which is assumed to be ubiquitous to everyday thought and language.
