Achilles Castle part 1
Castle: pov the boys texted me while we were at therapy asking if they could stop by for lunch. I asked Kate and she said it was okay, I think she is trying to hide the fact that she has a bad headache. On the way back to the loft I pick up lunch for us and the guys. Perlmutter is filling in for Lanie at work, Kate is due for more pain meds.
Ryan: pov at the loft Castle is taking the food out of the bag, I mention Jenny finds out the gender of the baby in a few days. Lanie had told us not to talk about our current case. Lately Jenny has been craving spicy food which gives her horrible indigestion.
Esposito: pov me and Esposito head back to the precinct this case is taking longer than usual to close, maybe because we don't have Kate to help us.
Lanie: pov I'm lounging in the living room watching temptation lane with Kate while Castle writes. After a few episodes I notice Kate has fallen asleep, I can hear Castle in the kitchen making dinner which is soup.
Kate: pov i wake up from my nap realizing I fell asleep during temptation lane, Lanie says Castle just finished making soup, would I like her to put some in a bowl for me. I say yes. Martha arrives home from hanging out with friends and Alexis from school.
Alexis: pov during dinner I chat about my day and how school was. Kate tells me the boys came over to visit her during lunch. I head to my room to study. Dad said something about Kate going to bed because she is tired.
Castle: pov it has been a few days and Kate has been having some episodes of an elevated heart rate, which her meds are taking care of. She is still on a heart rate restriction. Kate's headaches are still bad, but her concussion symptoms are starting to slowly let up. Her stitches have since been removed. She no longer has memory issues or arm issues. It is decided that we are heading for the Hamptons for a few days. So Kate can continue to recover, Alexis and Dave have a few days off from school so they are joining us. We are driving around 10am, that way Kate can get extra sleep. Since she had a bad headache last night. I packed last night so did Alexis and Kate, we made sure to pack her medical bag. Dave's parents had dropped him off earlier.
Kate: pov I walked to the bathroom, brushed my teeth then took my meds. I grabbed a peach colored shirt and black pants to wear after I showered. Castle was making eggs for breakfast. They tasted so good.
Alexis: pov dad packed up the car then we headed to the Hamptons the ride wasn't too bad he stopped by the grocery store to pick up the order he placed this morning. At the house we started to unload everything and put the groceries away. For lunch we decided on sandwiches, me and Dave were splitting a ham and cheese sub. He was opening the jar of pickles while I made the sub. We sat outside with our food, some chips and peach tea.
Castle: pov I'm having a roast beef sandwich, with pickles and chips on the side with some lemonade. Kate fell asleep on the sofa so I'm making her tuna fish sandwich with pickles and veggie sticks on the side. I pour her a glass of orange juice. Once she is up we eat outside and chat.
Kate: pov Castle is cleaning up from lunch while we change into our bathing suits so we can sit on the beach while Alexis and Dave go swimming. I make sure to grab my life vest just in case, I want to get in the water. Thankfully the beach is private so not too many people will see me in my life vest.
Dave: pov I helped Mr castle grab some beach chairs so the 4 of us could sit on the beach. It's hot today but not too bad. The water is the perfect temperature. Alexis and I decided to build a massive sand castle while Kate and Mr Castle look for shells. Back at the house me and Alexis are playing volleyball, Mr Castle asks to join in our game as he is going to catch the ball he runs and his leg makes a weird noise he says probably pulled something. I help him sit down while Kate gets him some ice to put on it. It's starting to get late, Castle is starting on dinner he is grilling zucchini, corn steak and baking some potatoes. The sky is starting to get dark, Alexis is getting the flashlights just in case.
Castle: pov my leg is hurting but I can still walk on it, I honestly don't know what happened I didn't fall so it's not broken. Kate said I should get it checked, I tell her I'm fine and if it still bothers me tomorrow I will get it checked out. I take one of Kate's pain pills which helps.
Kate: pov Castle makes it inside just before it starts to rain. Everyone grabs their food. I grab a small piece of steak because I can't eat that much. Dave and Alexis chat about school and how it is going. Not even 20 minutes after dinner the lights go out and so does the air, making it kind of warm in here. It's agreed the ice cream needs to be eaten which we do. I don't do well in the heat at all. I ask Castle how his leg is and he says fine. Which I know is a lie.
Alexis: pov it's a little warm inside but not bad. Kate has a hard time in the heat, dad has Kate take a cool shower. I breakout the board games until the power comes back on. Kate is amazing at scrabble. She wins both times. I get some fruit out of the fridge for Kate, while the rest of us eat some chips, can't have her getting too hot. next is uno which Dave wins a few times. It's starting to get a little late and Kate looks very tired and a little warm. Kate says she has a headache and is going to bed. The power finally came back on around 11pm which is amazing. I'm concerned about dad's leg/foot.
Esposito: pov it's 5am and we got a body, middle aged male, possibly 6ft brown hair. His organs seem to have been removed, Lanie says she will know more about his cause of death once she has him back at the morgue. To be continued. …….
