I think the worst thing about Lapidot shippers is how they make these angsty Lapidot comics in which Peridot dies and Lapis has a mental breakdown but are we forgetting how Lapis I take no remorse for attempted Infantcide Lazuli didn't even give a shit when she attempted to murder her best friend and his friend

I like that little pumpkin dog, it looks cute, but the poor thing was just added mercilessly by the writers to keep lapidot relevant... (...And I'm not gonna lie I'm kind of sad it gets hate for something it has no control over ;v;)

the thing that really hurts about zuke is that, when they're not trying to force lap1dot as quickly as possible, they're a good writer?? too far and last one out of beach city handle queer relationships beautifully! i loved how natural amedot and mysterypearl felt. zuke was perfectly capable of writing lap1dot well, but just. didn't. they made it so important that the two get together that they sacrificed their characters.

the episode closes with lapis never having apologized for her mistakes, but with peridot still forgiving her unconditionally, a risky message that may suggest that a person in power never needs to apologize or get better, so long as they do good things for their victim
