Peridot was reading on her tablet as usual when she got an idea... She has been reading a LOT about cats recently, and she wanted to recreate those videos that she has been watching about cats reacting to Catnip, so she stands up from her spot on the couch and decides that why bothering with the acquisition of a feline when lapis can shape shift and make it easier she walks up to the hammock in which lapis is taking one of her many naps of the day and starts poking her "Lazuliiii hey lazuliiii wake up" no response so she shakes the hammock which does wake up lapis after all and with an annoyed groan she asks "whaaaaat!?" "Oh hey lazuli, im conducting an experiment over here...aaaand I need a feline, so I wanted to ask you if you will temporarily change your appearance so I can actually proceed with the experiment...you know since I cant shape shift and all" lapis chuckles "no, ask amethyst," she says dryly there's no way she's turning into a cat right? "B-but she's out on a misionnnn," Peridot whines and looks at lapis right to the eyes...steven teached her a while ago about this thing called 'puppy eyes' and how people can't say no to them so she decides to do just that and lapis groans again "fineeee, but what is the experiment about anyways" "oh I just want to know how an individual in this case you reacts to this herb called catnip i have researched a lot about it and it seems like it causes a temporary euphoric state on felines like cats and such" "so you want to drug me?" Asked a confused lapis."Nooo, this herb has nothing to do with cannabis it's actually a mint adjacent" "ok but just this once ok?" YAY!!! Thank you Lapis" Then with a flash of light Lapis turned herself into a catgirl "Like this?" "Hmmm, I thought you were transforming completely but this works just fine, OH let me bring the catnip! Nyehehehe I'm so excited" Weird Lapis thought for herself then Peridot brought a small bag containing the herb inside "Here just sniff it!" So lapis did....at first it was normal...like smelling grass until her pupils dilated and she started feeling giddy "Oooohhh give me that" she snatched the whole thing right from Peridot’s green Palm and just started sniffing it more aggressively then she started smiling and purring "i love this" then she accidentally dropped it "interesting behavior" peridot muttered "it seems like catnip has affected the pleasure receptors of your brain" Lapis didn’t litsen, she stared rolling on what fell into the floor of the barn...getting most of it in her hair then she jumped into the couch where peridot was sitting and started kneading her thigh, she didn’t realize that she has claws but peridot surely did "ow ow ow" after that lapis took a nap on peridot and woke up 30 minutes later all disheveled and confused she stretched and remembered that she still hasn't changed into her original form and did it immediately "remind me to never do that again" said lapis while shaking bits of catnip off her hair.
