VW I.D. R Nürburgring Record ⚡️😮 ______________________________________ [6/3/19] The VW group in general is dominating the nurburgring with Porsche, Lamborghini and now VW itself has just broken the Nürburgring EV record with its I.D. R racer! The current production car record is held by the electric NIO EP9 which ran a 6:45.9 but the 12.94mile track record is held by the unrestricted, blisteringly insane Porsche 919 EVO that ran a terrifying 5:19.546!! The I.D R just ran a super fast 6:05.336 crushing the road legal NIO EP9 with Romain Fumas beyond the wheel, the same driver that was in the EP9! The I.D R is not officially the second fastest car to lap the Nürburgring! 🔥 @Allcarnews Spec Sheet: The VW I.D. R Racer packs 671HP and 479 lb-ft of torque but it’s so light it can do 0-60 in 2.25sec and has a 168MPH TopSpeed due to all that downforce! Remember the I.D. R holds the record at the Pikes Peak Hill climb! In comparison the EP9 has 1,341HP but was much heavier. 🔥 Now the car has been modified for the Nurburgring and the driver has to average 112MPH during the run for a successful lap!
