Corps member dies in laptop explosion in Jalingo
The fan on my computer had a pretty hilarious explosion of grinding noises last night, and today I called support to get it replaced. Now, I’m back on my old laptop. It’s a cheap little Acer I bought last year to write on, and because it’s just powerful enough to run Diablo III.
Now, I’ve slotted it into my setup I was using before. I kept all my peripherals from when I had a desktop...monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc., and I use them with my laptop via a USB hub. Using the older computer is actually liberating in a way. I had all these games installed and had played, at most, five or six hours of each one. Now, with what looks to be about a 10 day holiday at least from my newer machine, I’m forced to focus on the stuff that will run well on this computer, and anything on my phone.
It’s kind of exciting. I get so caught up in either playing new games, or trying to take out my backlog, that I get nowhere. It’s nice to be forced to focus every now and then.
I haven’t forgotten about reviewing the Sony XB950AP headphones. Sony really really needs to come up with better model numbers, but I guess they are a huge electronics conglomerate and that’s kind of just how it goes. I can’t tell if I love these headphones or not. There’s lots to like and lots to be puzzled by. But that comes tomorrow! I bought them with change from my change jar, so it feels like they were free. I wonder if that’s influencing my decision.
