southern lapwing! they have little spikes on theyre wings.. theyre so spooky theyre also called "quero-quero" in portuguese! meaning "want-want" because that's what it sounds like theyre saying (altough i dont really hear it lol)

As the requester said, these are commonly called quero-quero in Brazil. They are also known as tero in Argentina and Uruguay, tero-tero in Paraguay, and queltehue in Chile!
