Plot Bunnies: Lark Chamberlain
Sirius Black did not have crushes. That just wasn't him. He was more interested in spending time with his best mates, the Hogwarts-famous Marauders. Of course, spending time with James Potter also meant being around Lily Evans... more than a normal person should. (Then again, what was “normal” in a school of witchcraft and wizardry?) And wherever Lily was, one would also find her faithful companion and fellow Gryffindor, Lark Chamberlain.
Sure, Sirius had noticed quite a few details about Lark over the years. (Whenever she's thinking over something in a lesson, she'll brush the feather of her quill up and down her cheek. She always has a muggle novel with her. Her favorite dessert in the warmer months is a chocolate eclair but in the colder months, she loves to eat pie.) He was bound to pick up on these things; after all, his best friend was constantly pursuing her best friend. But that was completely normal, right? Right?
“What the hell are you going on about, Prongs?”
“I hate to break it to you, Padfoot, but I think you may be in love with Lark.”
