Doomguy and Inky yawn at the same time or a few seconds after each other. Great big yawns too. Also, may I get a request of Inky splashing around in the bathtub or a bucket? Thank you.
@2ndgenerationbourdon holy shit 200 years later i got to these. combined them for kicks :]
The other is finally, peacefully sleeping.
Starlight filters in from the skylight above them, casting an ethereal glow on all beneath. Motes of dust calmly dance in the pale light, giving the impression of stars in the otherwise-dark room. Inky’s fur is coated in a silver shine where she sleeps nestled between the two of them.
The Slayer’s face is obscured by darkness, but Vega does not need to see it to know how content and calm he would look. It is a rare feature for him (sadly, and nigh-impossible to catch outside of the safe haven of the Fortress), and one Vega takes every chance to revel in.
Slowly, unconsciously, the Slayer pulls the blankets further toward himself. The movement draws Inky closer to him as a result--far from a consequence. She blearily raises her head as she’s moved, looking around out of habit. Her green eyes fall on Vega, who hums gently at her. She hums in return, curling back down into the blanket where it is warm.
He feels the Slayer stir next to him. It is unusual for the man to wake up so early, but not unheard of. Still, Vega knows he will not stay up. The Slayer is not exactly a “morning” type of individual.
Vega shifts to give more of the blanket to him. The Slayer pulls it up to his neck, wrapped tightly. A yawn forces its way out of the other before he untangles one arm from the blanket and rubs his eyes. Delicately, Vega curls a hand to mold to the shape of his jaw, rubbing his thumb tenderly on his cheek.
Vega muses warmly but is drawn to Inky at the sign of movement. A great yawn is forced out of her as well--be it coincidence or consequential. Her teeth shine in the light for the briefest of moments before they are once more covered. The tiniest of sounds escapes her during it.
It pulls a soft laugh from him against his will. He manages to keep it quiet, but not inside altogether.
The Slayer groans at him in question, barely cracking his eyes open. Vega is quick to reassure him, gently holding him in place as the other tries to roll onto his back.
“It’s nothing, dear. Simply Inky being...herself. Nothing is wrong. You’re still safe.”
