Some people don't understand context.
All members of 1D were close on another level of closeness you don't see in any other group but that's bc they spend 90% of 5 years together. They spent more time with the rest of 1D then their families but context shows you L&H interactions/what they did was different between them then any other duo.
Example One Dirty Clothes Sharing:
During early 1D years one of the boys would wear a t-shirt or jacket owned by another 1D member bc they all shared a tour bus and were usually in a rush so they just grabbed whatever clean shirt or jacket they found. Also in some early 1D concerts the boys would swap outfits but it didn't meant anything past a joke or I'm in a rush when it came to any 1D duo [besides L&H] sharing clothes. Here's young N&H wearing the same jacket not a big deal.
BUT what is a big deal is Louis wearing H unwashed just worn yesterday tshirt. H wore a black tshirt tucked into his belt/jeans during rehearsals than later Louis is wearing the same shirt at the concert with a belt line showing it hasn't been washed since H wore it. That's a thing certain couples do where one wears their SO sweatshirt or t-shirt after them bc they like how it smellstreminds them of their SO.
Example Two Unnecessary Clothes Sharing:
During early 1D tours one boy would wear another boys shirt in a rush BUT that was during a time 1D was on tour and only happened during their early years where all were around the same size. With L&H they shared clothes all. the. time. throughout all of 1D when H was much bigger & at times where it was inconvenient or even unnecessary to wear the others clothes. Like Louis wearing H Chelsea boots that were multiple sizes to big or Louis wearing H jeans that were almost falling off of him. What does he gain from this ??? It's very inconvenient ???
Example Three After 1D Clothes Sharing:
Unlike other 1D duos L&H were sharing clothes long after 1D was over ie. the infamous umbro shirt or all the runway/model outfits they would split. If they didn't regularly see each other, weren't doing 1D tours anymore & didn't live together why were L&H still doing this? Shows you with L&H sharing clothes/outfits means something more.
Example Four Romantic Moments:
No other boys got close during interviews or concerts in a sexual or romantic way like L&H did. There are so many instances where H almost risked it all and was contemplating kissing Louis or just had no shame at all staring straight at Louis and his mouth. Umm I don't see any other two doing that.
We always had the boys acting close during a concert BUT with L&H you had Louis being obvious on stage by looking down at THAT area, then giving H THAT look while thrusting his body towards him. Who tf else was doing shit like that ??? He was bery clearly flirting with H. And of course you had L&H during interviews being in their own little world chatting/flirting away so much so they would miss the fact someone asked them a question. Why is Louis giving H THAT look here and why does H get so flustered over it ??? Use your brain...
Most seem to just ignore when they post a moment of Z, Li or Ni getting close to one half of larry the other was off to the side giving them a look of if you don’t stop touching my man we are going to have a problem. The death glares to Z, the slapping to Li or "DO ME A FAVOR 😡" and my personal fav the "I'm getting jealous over here" line. Every other duo ship "moments" involving half of larry completely cut out the part where the OTHER half of larry is unhappy with what's happening even if it's just them laughing with each other. Like damn chill we know he's yours you don't need to act this way. 😭😭😭
Just type in "jealous louis" on the gif tag you will see all those "Z&H / N&H / Li&H moments" where louis is off to the side making some side remarks like this one where he clearly doesn't like their closeness.
Example Seven Mario Kart:
Someone tried to tell me all members did/said questionable things with eachother so this interview is not a big deal. I promise you no other duo or any two "just guy friends" did anything close to what L&H did in the Mario Kart interview. L&H really just casually talked about how they are vers and based on who is tired that day and who has the energy is how they decide who tops and who bottoms. I'M SORRY WHAT ?!?! That is not normal and something two "just guy friends" would EVER say. No other duo made "casual hints" about their sex life with eachother and no one would make a joke like that.
So always remember context matters to everything any 1D duo did. What L&H did wasn't the same as any other 1D duo it just gets over shadowed as "two close friends" bc 1D was just THAT friend group bc they had no one else to rely on or really had anyone else to see that they genuinely liked to be around but it was anything but "just two close friends."
