Word up people. I'm back.

Things are hectic in my camp - I am seriously gearing up to getting the F out of London, and off on a 4 month trip which will take me from China to New Zealand, via Indonesia and Oz. Among many things I'm worrying about is: how will I get my London bass music fix?! Dunno. Hopefully the power of the RSS feed will save me, miles from home.

Get Larry Sun to Outlook! // A storming Multi-BPM Mashup

  My boy Larry Sun has just got in touch with this new mix up on his Mixcloud page. This is his formidable summer vibes-laden entry for the Outlook Festival DJ competition currently running in partnership with Mixcloud. He needs a shed-load of plays to get a look-in on Outlook (see what I did there?!) Hit the play button and read on....

Exploding out of the blocks with a barrage of classic drum & bass anthems - Larry pulls out the anthems 'LK' (not the vocal mix thank god), and 'Valley of Shadows', whilst simultaneously smashing acapellas into the spectrum. The BPMs switch down soon after, with Jai Paul's epic 'BTSU', before finally settling into an effortless mash of garage and funky tracks, plus assorted acapella action to finish off.

Of course, I'm going to be fairly biased about this as Larry and I are regular partners in musical crime, but this mix is filled to the brim with personal favourites of mine. Make sure you listen to the Dubbel Dutch / Julio Bashmore / Jamie George section - so rowdy you cannot but smile...

So anyway, if you're feeling like I am, got to his Mixcloud page, hit the play button, then (most importantly) hit the big heart icon to favourite it, and give it some love in the comment box. He needs at least 200+ listens and loads of favourites to get in there, and quite frankly some of the awful crap that is getting the most hits should be banned from Mixcloud...
