I was just listening to U Talkin U2 to Me and they mentioned Bono popping a p on one song and how he doesn’t always use the most high-end mics in the biz. And the little guitar buzz/twang in SYCMIOYO makes my life lol. Agreed with you 100%
see that’s the shit i live for, there’s a quote adam said once in an UF era video (can’t remember which one right now) about not needing the most expensive equipment out there, because what you want to convey you can convey through what materials or instruments you have with you right now. because it’s never about the equipment, it’s about the emotion you put into your work. and i totally agree. bc shit like that adds character! and character and soul are WAY more valuable than perfection
